Welcome to the Club Bryan Ok how about an MP3 jack or out put socket for the shaker 500 that I'd be able to plug in a 20 gig Dell Juke box for Tons of tunes ? Is this possible that you would know at this time ? any and all help greatly appreciated. Ed

Hey guys just at the dealer today, and was told the problem is allocation, some dealers have used up all their allocation yet still place orders hoping to get lucky,
this definitely screws the customer. :notnice: So I would say ask the sales manager flat out BEFORE you order how much allocation they have left. In my area (milwaukee,wi) some dealers have no allocation left and are least noble enough to say so, but most all dealers still have 05 gt's in stock. My dealer has had the same 2 gt's on the lot for 5 weeks plus (might have something to with the 5,000 markup over msrp) but other dealers have gt's on the lot for around 800-1,000 over msrp. Also according to the latest dealer news bulletin(dated03/11/05)
no mustang orders qualify as a high risk yet meaning demand has NOT exceeded supply. Additionally last thursday3-17-05, ford said it will increase mustang production to 192,000 units this year. So if you cant get a order in though a specific dealer (or a military supplier) go some where else, their just trying to keep you as a customer by saying they will get you an 06(when they have allocation again) or maybe trying to get you to buy a V6 or other ford product. My dealer says they have about 20 cars left for allocation, about half of those will be GT's, and their trying to purchase allocation from other dealers. Common sense needs to be applied to this situation, ford is NOT going to give delaers an allocation of say 5 mustangs a month and then only build and deliver 2-3 a month, thats when lawsuits happen. Dealers purchase a franchise for a reason, to SELL cars, not order a car and cross their fingers and hope it gets picked up by ford. Obviously this car is in high demand so ford will not give additional allocation to dealers until all orders and existing allocation can be filled.

Spoke with my saleman, he indicate the factory rep was in this week. They have not been told to cut off GT orders but, a GT ordered now may not be an 05. He had no word on ordering the Shelby. Sales manager said more than likely a year out to order.

We also ordered through Military car sales back in 12/05...They "lost" the paperwork for 2 whole months so the order didn't actually go through until 2/4/05. My husband got an email from a guy about the update on the order and the $750 rebate for having to wait. It stinks to have to wait 2 months longer (He said June or July instead of May), but it's also nice to know I am not the only one being "screwed" through Military car sales even though we are getting the best deal EVER on it! Good luck!

Before I go into it I ordered my 2005 Mustang GT on 2-22-05
I have about 5 dealerships around my area. I went to 3 of them. From what I
understand from talking to them. The smaller dealerships can't order them or doing
what was said earlyer about them trying to sell you a car off the lot they have there.
Two of them where larger dealerships and they kept asking "what can we do to get
you to order today." And the smaller dealership had the only GT in stock in the
area and told me on the phone before I came over to look that someone was
buying it. Then when I get there they tell me that ford was stoping production on
the GT and I need to buy whatever I can close to what I want. In other words
buy the GT we lied that we where selling it on the phone.
So I went to one of the larger dealerships the next day and made my order an
had no problem. I asked them about it and they said that they might have run
out of places to order more cars or since they had one GT and they where a small
dealership they could not order more because of cash.
But I will be checking with my dealership tomorrow on a VIN and date of production.
Hope for the best for me.

Aye, I see what ya mean. I went by there today.
First thing is the salesman that handled my order
was fired or quit. And second the guy that does
the orders did not have a VIN or build date :bang:
But I'm still hopeful. Least I do know that the order
was excepted by ford. On 2/26. I placed the order
on 2/22.
But I'll join the line and wait. Long as the cars comes
to me as I ordered it. I will be happy.

Good luck!

I ordered 12/02/04 from a military rep in Guam to be delivered to Hawaii. Just got word yesterday from the military rep that my car is being built the last week in April and should be delivered 1st or 2nd week in June. That's only a month after the original delivery date, so that's not too bad for an additional $750 off. We are getting a heck of a deal, finally it pays off to be in the service. Good luck to you guys as well and everyone else still waiting.

Wow. I started this thread and forgot to check back. Lotta comments. Got a new one for ya: I was at another dealer checking out a Sonic Blue Roush. He said that that was his 8th Roush so far, but couldn't get a GT to save his life! "The only way I can get a GT is to order it as a Roush!" He wanted over 34K for it. Only mods were cosmetic, and I didn't even like those. (What's with those holes in the rear bumper, anyway?)
Rumor #2: He said that a Ford rep had been in recently and hinted at upcoming SEs. The rep said a Mach 1 would be out by mid-'06! (Next spring) He asked about a shaker scoop, and was told that it wouldn't be a Mach without it. Yeah, right. We can dream, can't we?

Just heard from the rep that my car finally has a build date/week of April 18th. It's about darn time. The rep says that being that the car is being shipped to Hawaii, she doesn't expect it to get there before mid-June. The car was ordered on 2 Dec 04.
The thing that gets my goat is that I've seen folks who've ordererd a GT long after me that have theirs built and delivered already. That doesn't sit well with me.

I ordered a '05 Torch Red GT Coupe on February 17th with IUP, etc. My dealer in upstate New York said 8-12 weeks. He is a VERY BIG dealer and has many other dealerships in the state and brands that he sells, says he has leverage in the ordering game. Today, 8 weeks later (April 15th) he told me that FORD IS NO LONGER TAKING ANY MORE ORDERS FOR THE '05 GTs. Mine and one other WILL be built and shipped, but didn't have a VIN date or schedule date for me at this time. All other orders after mine will not be filled and the customer must wait for a '06 in the Fall if still interested. Those of you that have yours - be thankful. I can't wait to get my own!! banghead.gif

Just found out my Black Mustang GT with red int and IUP was finally built on the 21st and left the factory for the port to be shipped to Hawaii. Got a VIN and eveything. They estimate another 2-3 weeks before it gets here. Atleast the darn thing is built finally.

Well my dealer (Van Boxtel Ford) says I probably won't be built. He has 8 GT orders older than mine and not enough allocation to fill all the orders they wrote!
They said I could order an 06 (with another deposit) so that just in case my )5 does get built, I won't lose out or I could be near the top of the list for an 06. Funny thing is I see alot of other cars running around with their sticker on it.
I taked to another dealer (recommended by a co-worker) and he looked over my DORA. Says that with a priority code of 26, my car will never get built. He asked if I negotiated a good price on the order, and I said yes. He says that is probably why they gave the order a low priority. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
He said he couldn't order any more 05's, as they basically closed the order books on them. He would try to find one.
Update the next day: He searched a 300 mile radius of Manitowoc, WI. No WV Blue Premium GT's to be had. Only cars out there were White, Black and Silver, most deluxes w/o IUP.
He did show me a memo that the Packerland Ford dealers are sponsoring a Country USA concert in our area. They are building a special run of Yellow GT verts and red supercab F-150's for the display. His dealership is getting one of the yellow verts and it was mine if I wanted it. Except for the transmission and spoiler delete, the car had the right options. He wouldn't budge off MSRP, but I will get a car before the snow flies again. I gave him a deposit and signed the contract. Hurry up June 30.
Oh yeah, I cancelled the order witht he other dealer.
