I got my car back this afternoon and it seems that the gear swap fixed the problem.

They put in 3:31 ratio gears is that what is stock on a V6?

Well, I have something interesting to add. Sometime within the last couple of week's my "low-grumble" between 70-73 mph is now suddenly gone all by itself.

The only thing I can think of that I could of done to affect it was a couple of really hard flogging sessions in the mountain twisties.

One less thing to concern myself with, that's for sure

I noticed just this past week on my 06 GT this same sound that you guys seem to be referring to. Mine is almost a rumble vibration sound with out the actual feeling of a vibration and it kicks in when I hit about 63 and up.
