I know you all missed me!

I am back in sweet home 80 degree Alabammy, and the first thing I did was shed the long sleeves and drag out the shorts and tanks.

Total 05s spotted- Five, Two in Alabama on the way up, one in Tennesee, One on a dealer lot in Milford Ct, and A twin of Ellie in Chambersburg Pa yesterday.
Total Tanks of gas- 6.5
Total Mileage now : 6,300
Total Waffle Houses stopped at 3
Total Hotels: 2
Total rest areas- 8
Total Snow seen; six inches.

All in all Eleanor drove like a dream. Set cruise for straight 76 MPH and set out. We left Cold snowy freezy Ct at 7:30 ET yesterday, and stopped outside of Knoxville yesterday. Got home at 12:10 CT today. IT IS GOOOOD to be home.

Now my task is to wash and wax the road slime and salt and sand off my lovely yellow pony. :angry: And get some food and cocola in here!

Welcome back April! It's raining here today so you might have some in a couple days depending on which way this storm system goes. Have fun cleaning Eleanor. :tex:

 

Digital camera broke. I have real camera pics though.

Frick cleaning her. I had to go out and enjoy the day. She can be cleaned later. AND YES I was embarassed driving her with all the sludge all over.

I am looking for a new camera. This won't happen in Gatlinburg or Panama City this summer.

There is a curious lack of fun cars up north. Everyone drives sensible stuff. I guess when its cold 8 months a year, and snows till May you do what you gotta.

So true up here april but 90% of the "good Stuff" is packed away for winter .In the summer up here on a saturday night it is worse than rush hour traffic except it is full of Muscle cars ,Low riders ,customs, rods & ricers.In the summer I will take my lawn chair down town to the Burger factory 'put it up on the main drag and watch the cars roll by .It got so bad they even tried to outlaw cruseing!!! But thankfully the busness community piped up and said they would lose millions in sales if that was to happen. If I get a chance I'll get some pic's of down town at night this summer .

 

After all the snow. I understand completely why a mustang is not practical down there. Here there are tons of mustangs in every flavor available on the road.

I did get in a losing peeing contest with a 99-04 gt vert on Route 8. Until Hubby said I was driving like a Jack....and needed to slow down.

 

Yea, the south has lots of hod rods, 4x4's and all kinds of suv's. I guess up north they have the rods stored until spring. Heck it is spring, it was 81 deg's yesterday.
