Color scanner is on the fritz, so I'll try to post them later. In the meantime, here's a B&W teaser scan.

Unless, everyone doesn't care if its in black and white, I can scan the whole thing but I'll need someone to host.

And why does the GT-R with 140 more hp than the stock GT run slower times?

Wow...this should make for some interesting discussion.

I'm very happy at the 4.9sec 0-60 run. That's quick.

The GTE-500 is Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds. There's a company in North Dallas that makes 'em.

Since TMS has imposed image upload size, I'll need someone to host these.

Oh, okay, I thought all 6 were based on the S197.

Good numbers. But G.T.500E (Performance) is only $129,000, not $147,000. Great to have some proof it runs under 5 0-60.

yeah all but the Eleanor clone which is based off of a 67 frame (but with modern mechanicals). I love the language of the article, too, which keeps referring to the factory GT as a "supernatural." The fact that it runs neck and neck with the 35K Steeda, whips the 40K Saleen, and somehow squeeks by the $175,000 GT-R is just mind blowing....

I love it. B)

Okay car guys....what are the possible reasons a car of marginally more weight, with more horsepower and more torque would run more slowly?

It would be nice to see the entire HP/torque band. Max HP at 7k is pretty high.

I know why......it's cause THEY CAN"T DRIVE FOR poo!!! They could only get 15.1 out of a mid-14sec V6 but can get mid-13's on the GT??

God they are inconsistant and horrible........this is why I trust MMFF for my Mustang times.

D'oh! wn3d:

Thanks holderca1. For some reason I figured that the concept wouldn't be available for a road test like that, so I didn't even consider it. I'm an idiot.

Just watch, the GT-r is the closest thing to what the next GT500 will look like.

The automatic v6 is not a mid 14 second car.

I know. He claimed it was a "mid-14sec V6" with a better driver though.

It's got to be something in the suspension or tires, both the
Steeda, and Saleen corner better than the stock GT, but they
are both slower 0-60!
