I'm still a big fan of Bullitts on the 05 style Mustangs.

I think it depends on your car. Got any pics we can work from?

What's your budget? Do you want a typical/classic Mustang wheel, or something with some new school flavor? How about color?

I was thinking new school I'm not sure though, and I'm thinking black. I have tinted everything so black would go well with the theme

Put a post in the 'for sale' section... perhaps someone might like them.

Never thought of that. I will clean them up and inspect them this weekend to come up with an accurate condition.

After I bought tires last year, I was amazed at how cheap take-off GT500 rims/tires are on eBay. If I'd have known that I could get a set for about a grand, with almost brand new tires on them, I'd have jumped all over them. Unfortunately, I'd already invested a grand in tires, mounting, balancing, and alignment.

Got my take-offs for $800 with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. Brand new. Parking lot miles on them.

The GT500 takeoffs are cheap and wide, but they don't look good very good. I switched them back to my OEM 18" bullitts.

I actually find the Hurst wheels pretty nice if you are after the vintage look.

Don't feel bad, I bought one of these sets and tires were out of round. A lot of ppl stocking take offs are not storing them correctly and some of them are getting fairly old by now.

I had to pay extra to get them re-balanced (road force) but half of the tires could not balance properly.

Items like this are always a matter of personal taste. But I 2nd the comments above about Bullets looking great on these cars. My Pony came with 17 inch painted Bullets and I stumbled across a set of 18 inch polished take-offs (with tires) on Craigslist for a song.

PS, has anybody pointed out to you that you purchased a formal rental fleet car? The rubber bumpy things on the doors are the give away. Those were only available through fleet sales.

Hope your car was handled gently.
