Kid...You may want to verify that is it cool to change body kit/grill on Leased car. No problem on the wheels and (at least axle back) exhaust but I would think they will frown on a body kit. I think it would be worth asking before dropping the $$$ on a kit.

Best advice I can give when modding. Is PLAN, PLAN, PLAN. That way you know how you want your car to look, a certian theme which will all flow.
If you do random stuff it'll show. Spend money once
And yeah, deff look around the forums for ideas. Helped me alot and dont shy from asking questions when in doubt. Best luck to ya

man im 16 too and i gotta admit they are going a little hard on u but dude why not just get like an 03 gt or something and then a decent other car to drive during the week? i have an 00 f150 w/ 70k miles and im getting a mustang for the weekend so that lessens the chance of a wreck.
but dude your lucky and dont pay any attention to the old geezers they are just being protective, and if you gonna do burnouts atleast wait until 1000 miles because #1 you'll be able to handle it better and #2 it'll be easier on the motor.
dude 20's on a stang? c'mon i personally like the bullitts better than any wheel out there..looks good on everything

To stay on target
Got 42k miles on my GT 5spd
10 mile drive to work with several lights, I'm a heavy footed driver.
I get 17-19 MPG city and 23-26 MPG when crusing at 75 on the freeway.

07 GT stick, 10 days old, 270 miles, all but 10 are city. 17.4 MPG. No burnouts. Let the car break-in. Most important is letting the engine break-in. Varying engine speed/load is good. Constant highway driving at one RPM is bad. Okay not bad but not that good for breaking in a new engine.
The owners manual says to vary your speed. Well with an auto that’s the easiest way to vary the engine speed. Check out page 171 of the owner’s manual…
1-2 at 11 MPH
2-3 at 19 MPH
3-4 at 30 MPH
4-5 at 40 MPH
That’s going to keep the revs under 1300 forever. I don’t follow the above and I still get 17.4 with city only driving. If you get 14 MPG city/highway your ARE driving it harder then you think. That’s okay have daddy get you a new one in a year.

Have you reset your mileage computer. When you get out on the highway, hit the reset. Your mileage will instantly improve and just go down as you get into stop and go. If it's never been reset since you picked up the car, it will take a while to climb unless you drive A LOT of highway.

I reset the MPG at fill up, it stays pretty accurate over an entire tank. Kinda silly to reset it when you are going downhill in 5th just so you can see 46mpg for all of 30 seconds.

I'm getting about 18 combined. Took a 700 mile trip to maine last weekend and with the cruise set btwn 65-75, I got 24 mpg on the way up. Coming home I was doing 85+ to try and beat traffic in boston (didn't make it!), and the mileage dropped to about 20+. Still not bad considering I had my wife and kids in the car plus a trunk full with luggage, a cooler and souveniers. Here's a pic from Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, ME.
