Replacement Decklid?

Does anyone working at a Dealer know how much a replacement decklid w/out spoiler costs? Also what would it come with, in other words how much would have to be moved from the old decklid to the new one?

Lock, third brake light lens, etc?

I'm really wishing I had spoiler delete but I had to take what was in stock to get Legend Lime at the time I did.

I would try ebay before I looked at the dealers. not a whole lot of stock in junkyards yet. Even if you're looking for a painted one, the dealer part will come blank.

It will cost you less to take the car to a good bodyshop to have the holes filled and have the decklid painted.

Trust me, i've done all the research, I'm getting mine done this winter as well.

It may cost less to have them filled, but how much less? If it's not that big of a difference I'd buy one, that way I have an extra deck.

By the way, I got quoted $400 for the part at my local dealer. I've heard on the boards that they can be had for $250ish but I'm not sure where.

The easiest way would be to find someone locally to swap decklids, even swapping emblems and locks with a V6 would be easy. I tried that route but I had no luck finding someone.

Even if the difference was only $100 or so, I personally don't want another decklid cluttering up the garage. I'll find a good bodyman to do it and i'm sure I'll get good results.

It may come down to that because I got a quote from a dealer recomended shop for a new decklid, paint and install for $750.00. It's frustrating because I cannot justify that kind of money for something that would have been no cost originally.

Here's a question though...are the '05 and '06 decklids identical? My chances of finding a swap candidate are relatively slim since I have Legend Lime which I am glad is lower production except for now!
