Replace convertible liners

The roof of my '06 GT convertible was slashed last Friday in a parking garage. The alarm went off so nothing was stolen but the culprit took a parting kick at the driver's door in frustration.

I ordered and recieved the replacement internal and external covers/liners as well as the cut driver's side tensioning strap. It "appears" that the parts are fairly simple to install but I'm looking at another 3 days of having it left at the shop and $500 for my deductible.

Are removal and installation instructions available?

Has anyone else attempted this?

Yes, this sux that it happened, but the upside is I'm going with the Shelby cloth upgrade which I think greatly improves the look.

TIA!

Thanks for the offer, Bob. I bit the bullet Friday afternoon and dropped it off at the shop.

I should see it again Monday or Tuesday.

Soft tops can be a bit of a challenge. You need to have lots of patience fitting and refitting the canvas so everything lines up and it's sans wrinkles and ripples. I've done it once, but would gladly pay to have it done should the need ever arise in the future. At least you're getting the upgraded top for your $500 which isn't too bad of a deal.

I've never had that problem with other fabric tops so I don't anticipate this being an issue with this one either.
