Rented a GT convertible
#1
Hey Everyone,
Rented a '05 Vert GT for the weekend, ran it about 1000km over the weekend. I have to say, the new 5spd automatic is damned fast. It almost makes me want to move from a standard (because of all of the city driving). I noticed though that if you were going to race it, you have to manually run it through the gears to get some reaction time out of it. I don't normally drive automatics so I can't say whether or not the delay between my foot and my head hitting the head rest is normal or not.
In anycase, my buddy has a '99 35th Special Edition, 4.10s, Flowmasters, High-Flow cats, CAI, Pullys ... some other stuff. convertible too. We raced it up and he just killed us off the line but once we were moving we started to pull on him. It was fun.
All and all it just affirms the fact that I want a 2006 for sure.
So for all you automatic fans out there, what do you think of yours vs. the standard?
Too much fun
Nathan

Cool, I'll be driving a redfire v6 vert around vancouver starting in september.
Let me know what ride you pick up and we can do some drivin
I don't know vancouver at all, but I'll be getting setup in Burnaby. Maybe you can show me a good, quiet road

I saw a V-6 convertible from Budget rent-a-car here in Victoria, but I have yet to see a GT vert. Way to go. Where did you get to 200? That is the fastest I have driven mine, sure got there quick too!

It's not exactly flattering to the Mustang brand that they are available for renting.
I mean...what's next? Mustang taxi cabs?
