Red face Redfire or Torch Red? Pros and cons???

I was originally going with Torch Red for my 2007 GT Coupe since my current car is red and I've always liked the color. Then I ask my wife and she says she likes the Redfire better. So now it has me thinking (there's my first mistake - or was it my second???).

Anyway, Steevr's Redfire Vert pictures make the Redfire look fantastic and of course Bob99b5's pictures of his Torch Red Vert look pretty darn good too! So where are all the new 2007 Coupe pictures of Torch Red and Redfire?

I see that Redfire is a metallic so perhaps it's a more interesting color in different lighting conditions. Perhaps this is a more "mature" color than the Torch Red? Anybody else have the delimma of trying to choose between the colors? Does one look better clean or does one age better than the other? Thanks for any thoughts and input!

I had no problem deciding, Torch all the way. If ever there was a Mustang color that is it! I only wish it a slight tint of orange. But everyone has a favorite thats why we have choices!
Some cars look better in some colors, Mustangs look great in all colors!

I Initially wanted Torch ( officer please ticket me ) Red because it looks awesome, but my wife did not like it. Redfire may look more " mature " , but who bought the car to look mature, not me

I really liked Redfire until I saw it in the bright sunlight.

I've had Torch Red and Performance Red and I was really happy
with both of them. I used to think of Performance Red as a faded
red but with time I really grew to love it on my '94 GT.

You should know that I was looking to go back to White (I had that
for my 1st 3 cars) but I ended up with Scr. Yellow. It's growing on
me and I've had it since November '05.

Go Torch RED!!

I currently have an F250 in dark metallic red similar to Redfire. It's an ok color, but man is it a pain in the butt for touching up rock chips. I'm kind of a perfectionist and it's nearly impossible to get the metal flake to lay right with touch up paint; even if you use dual stage touchup it still sucks.

My suggestion, if you go with metallic, is to get the clear 3M chipguard installed on the bumper and hood. Take this from personal experience... You will be kicking yourself the first time you get a nice big rock chip on your hood and you opted not to do a little prevention.

Good luck with your color choice.

OK this is strange but add my wife to the list of women that don't like Torch Red. She likes Redfire just fine. I'm the opposite though, I prefer the Torch Red.

I was going to get black or sonic blue but my wife had to have redfire. In my opinion she made a great choice!

She had to have redfire, we looked at a couple different stangs and fell in love with it. I does look different in different lighting, but overall it is a beaut!! One thing though, redfire is a tough color if you are thinking of adding any stripe packages.

I get alot of compliments on my car at the friday night cruises, everyone loves the color.

Stangs look great in every color!

I was originaly going with Sonic Blue, my wife however, who wasnt all that up with a Mustang anyway, said if you get one get e red one.
Rather than more mature, I think redfire is a really classy color.
One thing to consider, if you plan on striping it, go Torch Red.
Of all the stripped Redfires Ive seen, the stripes detract from it. Just one older guys opinion.

Talking

I'm really not worried about having a "mature" color! This car is supposed to be for my 40th birthday! And if that's the case perhaps I better go with my gut and get the TORCH RED!

Torch All The Way!!!!

I ordered a 05 Redfire...then I saw it in the shade and did not like it at all (SEE PIC) My C5 was torch red... it's a great color I think. You should see both in person it sun and clouds.

Here's my 06 GT (one month old this weekend)

I actually ordered a black 06 last may before I pulled the order... so I feel your pain!

Here is also a 05 REDFIRE I took a pick of back in 05 - dealer wanted 4K over sticker at the time!!!

Please note that I'm now driving an 07 GT/CS vert - Redfire w/black and parchment interior. I ordered Redfire first, then changed the order the following day (April 12th) to Vista Blue. Of course, it was too late to change the color (one day???).
My point to this story is, that so far, every woman who has seen the car, loves the color!! Is it something in their DNA? If you're happily married, stay away from the Redfire; you never know where that car might take you.
For me personally, if I had to do it over again, I would go with Alloy.
