It stands to reason that if the marketing projections were wrong on IUP, then the projections on the dependent options are also wrong.
The original take-up projection on ICAP was only 5%, and on air bags only 15%.
There may or may not be a shortage issue on these two items, but it's not relavent since they are still dependent on IUP and Ford Marketing has decided not to break them out.
The IUP-lite seems like a minor effort to "tart-up" the base cars without taking away from the value/impact of the full IUP package when the shortage issue is resolved.
