Ah yes, therein lies the problem...

Still, I'm sure they'll get it done just fine. They probably just have to tell you that just in case. Of course, if they do mess up the paint, then that will be covered by Ford as well, because it was caused during a warranty repair.

Tedz Pony, oh yes...they've said, they'll glady re-paint it if it's damaged...but you and I know that re-paints are never as good as factory (unless it's painted by a very top end paint shop...and Ford won't pay for that)...

Of course, you could just be an a$$ about it, and take the car back every time until they do get it right, to be sure they do it as well as the rest of the car. Not to call you an a$$, just suggesting that's what I would do.

My car just came out of the shop, and they did a great job. But I had it reseolved in my mind that I would have gone back every day if I had to, to make sure they got it right, and perfect. Thankfully, I didn't have to, but it's one option...

Tedz Pony, I did see an installer yesterday afternoon (supposedly one of the best in the area)...he assures me that he can replace the rear quarter window without any paint damage...the cost? Breaking the glass and simply installing a new one...I agree..a new rear quarter window costs $250 and about $200 for the labor...he also claims that he does window jobs for the dealership where I purchased the car...now all I have to is link it up with the dealership and let them hash it out.

Tedz Pony, roger that...BTW, didn't catch that you were from the Panhandle until now...have some good friends in P'Cola and my in-laws had retired in Niceville many years ago (near Eglin AFB...no longer there). Take care and I'll post how this turns out.

Do not touch it . If you are that fussy and you only picked that out after 3 weeks then thew car must be perfect all around. You will never be satisfied with the repair as you will be going over it with a magnifying glass. I'm sure you could find something more important around your house to fix or worry about.

I wash it once a week I also detail it every month with several high end professional quality detailing products... Claybar every 6 months... Anyone that comes over to my house is instructed not to lean on the car, sit on the car, place drinks or food on tha car, or look at the car funny. Those that break the rules are fed to the dogs...
