Are there already holes in the back bumper for a license plate bracket? Or when dealers put on their own brackets are there drilling holes? Are dealers brackets the same size as other brackets or would I have to re-drill holes to fit?

I already told the dealer about not putting any decals on my car, but should I tell him no dealer brackets? or can I just easily replace it without drilling new holes, if they end up putting one on?

There are four small indents for drilling holes. Up to you - I had the dealer do it. Most dealers drill them when they put on their dealership license plate frames. All license plate frames have the holes in the same location, so it shouldn't be a big deal. But again, up to you. You can easily do it yourself as well.

I agree. I wouldn't want to be the one drilling on my car.. If you're going to have it installed anyway why not let them have the liability just in case the bit slips and an oops happens...

My plate was on lopsided ...so the dealer drilled the lower dimples and fixed it...now I have four bolts vs 2 at the top.

does the dealer usually lend you dealers plates to take the car home?

You get a temp tag from the dealer, just a piece of paper. You can just tape this to your rear window from the inside. There are four pre-drilled holes, but they are painted over. Just drill through them, and set your screws.

We have 10 days to get a tag here, so no need for a dealer tag or temp tag. The only temp tags are the ones you get when you're waiting for a personalized plate.
