My opinion: seeking attention can be perceived as showing off which at times can lead to needless confrontations or vandalism. If you have any doubt you might want to research topics on the subject. No doubt Mustangs get attention, but there is a big difference between being humble about it or rubbing it on someone's face.
As a matter of fact, a TMS member with a car very similar to yours (hopefully it wasn't yours) posted a topic a few months back complaining someone had poured a soft drink in the car's interior while parked at a convenience store. There have also been numerous Mustangs which have been keyed. It makes me wonder why an anonymous stranger would want to ruin someone's day, so one can conclude that it was done out of pure malice or the individual felt provoked. Either way it is a cowardly act, but then the damage is done.
There are lots of people nowadays who have a lot of bad hair days. Getting their attention might not be the smartest thing to do. For every action taken there is an outcome which usually follows and sometimes the only thing one can do is live with it.
I drive with fogs/headlights on because I enjoy the increased visibility and their unique look.
I seriously doubt that just because I drive with my fogs on instead of just my headlights that it attracts more vandlism than usual. If you don't want anyone to notice the car, then you might as well just keep in the garage. The car is unique and it attracts attention (both good and bad) whether it has its fogs on or not.

Well I don't know about other areas of the world, but in my little piece of the rock its "Lite'm up if you got em." We have four vehicles with fogs. And on our GT they are not as bright as the headlamps. Others may just need an adjustment. If anyone flashes the GT, I'm quick to return the complement.
At night I drive with all four lights on for two reasons. One it's cool, and two it's safer because it makes my small Mustang more visible to others. Besides if I waited for fog to turn on my fog lights in Phoenix, I would never be able to use them.
I don't have fogs, but I think I would have them on a lot if I did. I don't think they are overbright in anyway, def not confusable w/ high beams.
I just don't get the need for them w/ high beams on, or when people put thos ereally bright bulbs in. Granted YOU can see better, but people comming toards you can't see a thing.

I give you a standing ovation for being honest.
Yea, my car was the one that had the big gulp thrown into it.
But I'm not going to quit enjoying my car because some loser is jealous.
Light em up and show em off. Humility is my best trait

It doesnt hurt to have DRIVING lights on when you're Driving. As was stated previously... Not a bad idea to let the avg driver know you're there... since that conversation they are having on their cell phone while slapping the kids in the backseat is consuming most of their attention.
And fog lights would be located a little lower since the idea of fog lights is to illuminate the space below the fog to avoid the "whiteout" effect of turning on your brights in fog. The little lights low on the aftermarket bumpers... those are fog lights.

I still fail to relate the importance of attention to the driving experience.

I just love driving it. I only drive it on nice days and it will never be a daily driver. So I only drive it for the enjoyment of driving it. That may make it different. I can say that that also makes it fun. Long after I'm dead you'll probably find this vert at Barrett Jackson with very few miles on it.
King of the road, no, just King of a great car.
I stopped driving at night with my fogs on. I still do it on dark roads though, and occasionally at dusk just to maybe get some people accustomed to seeing these cars with 4 lights. But I still run with my fogs and running lights on at dusk all the time. It's just darn cool, and different. The fogs lights on these cars are unique, so might as well draw attention to it.
I never thought about the car getting more respect having the 4 lights on. The way people drive in this area; you need all the visibility and respect you can get. Plus, most cars have driving lights now, and EVERYBODY uses them. It also seems 50% of the cars on the road have a headlight out of aim, and it shines right in my face . . . and then there are the people who put 100 watt xenon lights in their car so they can blind everybody. THAT should be illegal.
My rant is over.
My theory on people who flash their brights is that they are old timers who grew up with the old cars that had 4 headlights, 2 being brights. How many cars made since the mid 90's have 4 lights anymore? Not many . . . and no cars or even trucks use sealed beam style anymore; they are all single low/high beam bulbs now.
Just as an added note, I've been told the fogs are not bright at all. They mostly point at the ground in front of the car, and if you ever use them in fog (I have), you will find how much more effective they are compared to the headlights. Wow, fog lights that work!

Don't know why some are offended by people running the "fog lights" when it's not foggy. I keep mine on for improved lighting at night and improved safety during the day (had a guy pull left 10 feet in front of me while I was doing 40 in my old car, claimed he didn't see me.). They are not nearly as bright or distracting as those HID's or the silver stars everyone and their brother has, blinding oncoming traffic and making facing them at a red light retnal torture.
The HID lights should be banned, it is very distracting when it appears they are constantly flashing high beams at you in your rear view as their car bobs over rough streets.
Back on topic, only thing I really do to "show off" a bit is reving my motor under over passes, in parking garages or in my parking area at home just to hear how wonderfull my loudmouths sound.

I always have my fog/driving lights on. I think it looks cool and I like having the extra visibility. About 90% of my driving is at night since I work midnight shift and it's nice to be able to see that much better. They aren't super bright and they are aimed down toward the road so they aren't blowing up retina's. If someone wants to damage my car because I have my fog/driving lights on then they better make darn sure I don't catch them and if they have that mentality they are gonna do it anyway for no other reason than you have something they don't.
I seriously think that I am the only person who does not modify their new GT and does not drive with the fogs. I only use the fogs like once or twice a month when ever it gets foggy, BUT on occasion i will be a pompus jerk and smoke a huge fat cigar in my car, lol.
