Received a build date of 12/13, ETA at Dealership today. I have made a habit of calling the 800# (Dealer Only) to get updates from supposedly the most reliable source. Everyday, it's a different story. I was told at 9:00 AM today that my car was on a carrier? I asked "does that mean that it's on it's way?" Yes Sir it is.
I didn't believe it for a minute so I called back several minutes later and was told that it was still sitting in Flat Rock "not moving". The second "specialist" told me that they have 3 systems that they get info from and if it's not the same on all 3, you cannot rely on it. I am on hold right now trying to confirm "anything". I don't believe I/we would be driven to act like this if we could just get consistent, reliable info.
I can only imagine how Sixty Six Tony feels. My car is either going to be a Xmas present or a New Years present. I just want to know which.
By the way, If my current gig doesnt work out, I can always go to work at a Dealership as I have become quite proficient playing one on the Dealer only line.
Kudos to Brad and ALL of you for all of the valuable info on this site. I know one heck of alot more today than any of Dealerships employees. As a matter of fact, I haven't spoken to my salesman since he accepted the order which was the only thing he was capable of doing.
Thanks to all, Happy Holidays.

OK, Just got off the phone. After being told its on the way to the Dealership, I was just informed that it is sitting on a lot in Canton, just down the road from Flat Rock.
Apparently, there were over 850 cars on Quality hold and 400+ of them have been released. The can't get them out fast enough. Looks like plenty of us will be getting our cars soon, however my car will not be shipped until late next week . It's because of this ever changing data, and my obsessive personality that I feel that I must contact them every day.
I guess I'll just have to be content with whatever Santa brings.

Believe it or not, I kind of don't care anymore....
It's just my dumb luck this year with new cars.
But I did say "kind of", I'm told I should find out today what happened to my car and where it is exactly...
That's all I want, I've resigned myself to not taking delivery during the holidays, It'll most likely be "sometime" in January at this point

yeah...thats how I feel.
When i ordered the car in october, I was told it would be here Thanksgiving (yeah right). I told them I needed it by Christmas...New Years at the latest.
"Oh yeah...no problem...it will for sure be here by then"
After it didn't get built in November, theygaveme a build date of 12/6.
Then it got pushed to this week...a build date of 12/20, and the dealer told me it would be built ON 12/20. and shipped the very next day. It was being specially rushed per the OWNER of the dealer.
Now I found out it was built today (or yesterday not sure) and being shipped. And the dealer is telling me it will be here before new years. I called the 800# and they said 01/04/05.
I don't know who to believe...but I have made up my mind I am getting the car "sometime in January".

Tony, You're a better man than I. Patience is not one of my virtues. I almost feel guilty feeling this way realizing what you have been through. The fact is, coming to this site is helpful but also painful. Seeing the new cars arrive daily is a beautiful thing with one exception. They're not mine.
I just called the Customer Relationship Center and was told my car should arrive 12/26. When I asked whether he could confirm that it had shipped, he could not.
I think I'll just go have a frosty adult beverage and let things play out.

I realize my wait is not nearly as long as others, it's just frustrating when the information varies not only from day to day, but during the same day.
If I send a package to Hong Kong, I can track it and determine where it is anytime, day or night. Looking for the status on a nearly 30K automobile is
like pulling teeth.
