I dont know if going without Iup was a good idea.I had a chance to see the 05 mustangs a couple days ago,and one was a V6 dark leather interior and no Iup.I thought the inside looked horrible,it was way to dark and without the Iup it looked like it had miles of plastic.

That is why i said that i was going to buy aftermarket accessories to make the inside look better. I had a 98 mustang that was all black and i painted the vents and door panels and everyone loved it. Im sure i could do something similar with the 05 right?

I have seen both with and without IUP at my local dealership. I could see where the dark charcoal could be very classy looking with just a few touches of chrome or painted surfaces. Me personally though, I want the IUP. I always end up spending way to much money when I do it all aftermarket. Sorry, no pics.

You could always check e-bay motors, most of their V-6's come w/ the charcoal interior and non-IUP.

I bet the aftermarket will have dash panels etc. in just a couple of months...even some IUP folks might consider switching then...as for my color gauge lights...no loss there at all...in a way its kind of like something that you'd expect on a ricer.

The dark charcoal without IUP is still pretty slick...I saw it the other day.

I've opted for the dark charcoal interior with the IUP. Without an IUP you may as well be walking in the dark.

Looking at those ebay pics makes you realize that IUP is a must have.
The interior looks pathetic without the IUP specially with the Dark Charcoal, withe parchment i guess it looks good without the IUP.
Just my opinion though, nothing against people who like the no IUP look.

Hey Brad,

I bought a Mineral Grey w/out IUP w/ d. Charcoal Interior. I can understand members viewpoints on both sides. The interior is very dark, but I like the look. The chrome rings realy stand out. As for the plastic "look"-yeah, it's there, no denying that. Ford should have spent a few more $ and "softened" the interior w/ padded vinyl or plastic. Although I LOVE my car, I do think the Ford design team should visit a toyota dealership from time to time.

I have posted pics of my interior already, it looks just like the pics that have already been posted as a reply to your topic.

Good luck,
Jim
