I didn't feel like digging through the old threads to find the one who made this chop. I love it, though, and the color looks identicle to my '88 GT that I used to have. The paint wasn't original, though, so I have no idea what color this is.
I'm curious to know if it is a Ford color or if the person that did this came up with the color on their own.

yeah, I just got done lookin', and it was Chazcron. In the thread where he posted it, he said it was black..... so, yeah... I don't know anything about photoshop other than that I can't figure it out after playin' with it for hours, but can you take the color and get the breakdown of it? I know when you go create a color, it tells you how many greens, reds, etc. are in it, but can you kind of disect a color from a picture and see what shades it's composed of?

It's sort of black with real reflected color in it. Look at the original red. It has subtle blue sky and green grass reflected in it. I tried to keep that feeling in it so the black didn't look dead. It sorta looks deep purple pearl flop something, I don't know... One of my favorite retouches.

It has been my wallpaper since I found it.... back in the day. I had an '88 GT that was "midnight metallic blue" and this looks just like it. It was the coolest color. I'm not sure how they did the metal flake in it, and what colors they had to get it to look the way it did, but it was almost like the mystique Cobras... but not quite as extreme of a color change. It was a dark blue that went from purple to a really dark teal. I loved it and would paint a new Mustang the same color if I had the money to do it right.

That reminds me of Midnight Black from Honda. It was a black with blue mettalic flakes. It would freak the guys at the carwash out. They would argue about if the car was blue or black.
