Question on front bumper part..

Hey all.

A couple weeks ago I was driving home and I hit me some possum. I couldn't avoid it unfortunately as there was oncoming traffic. I looked in my rear view and saw a couple pieces of plastic. When I got home I looked underneath the car to make sure everything was OK, no leaks didn't see any major damage as far as I could. I had my dealer check underneath as well and they said everything was cool.

Today I noticed that the pieces of plastic were the honeycomb covers underneath the license plate! It looks like it's all one long plastic assembly which is now gone from my front bumper. Does anyone know the "official" name for this plastic peice and perhaps where I can get it? Also I'm assuming it's a simple bolt on I hope? I'll attach a pic.

Thanks.

Thats the lower grill, should run about $30.00 to $45.00 from Ford.

Thanks. I'll call my dealer and see how much they'll charge. Hopefully they wont' screw me. Is this a simple snap on? Should I use glue on it or no?

Lower grill, got mine on ebay for 10 bucks. The dealers here in Ga wanted 25 dollars for it.

Easy fix, just snaps right in. If the dealer wants more than $40-45 I would look at some on-line dealers.

Nothing left to say other than the above answers are correct. Before you go to the parts counter, go to the bodyshop and see if you can order the part from them and see if they'll sell it to you and let you pop it in yourself. Bodyshop prices are normally less than parts counter prices. I doubt the part would pay more than .2 labor, so they probably would just sell it to you and save you a few bucks. Can't hurt to try.
