Hey Tom..........
Don't know if you looked this plate up at DMV or not but it is available. And yes I got it when I first looked at it.

I find myself mixing up acronyms all the time.

I got pulled over in my 96 Cobra a few years back...
I had Michigan tags, and I was in Alabama...
My Tag said.... CBRAPWR, Cobra Power...
So I had northern tags and I was in the deep south, and my plates read how fast my car is...
Anyway, I still got the ticket for 95 in a 55, but he droped in down to 65 in a 55.
I don't think the tag had anything to do with anything...
Law Enforcement could care less, what your tag says
Plus most LEO's are car guys too.

Where I work the Ten Code for a pursuit is Ten-32. I had a coworker with a crotch rocket with a tag that read TEN 32 and another who has a Corvette with the tag A10324U. A dispatcher at my department has a Mustang with the tag SIG 21. Signal 21 means a stolen car. So yea, we play that also. One of my favorites here in town is a guy (not a coworker) who drives a white Crown Vic with the tag NOTACOP.
I thought the plate meant "I want to excelerate".
I-10-2-XLR8
Then I realized the 0. Oops. It's a good plate idea for states with only 7 letters.
I-1-2-XLR8 = I want to excelerate

As a Police Officer that loves Stang's, I would consider the following. If you're driving a V6, I would think about giving you a break depending on your attitude. Since you're driving a GT, I would definitely give you a break the first time.

Yes I was military and of course the department I work for uses a different phonetic alphabet so I had to relearn it. You can always tell when a rookie officer is fresh from the military because they use the wrong words and get real quiet when they realize it.

BTW, the first plate would be "Ida-One-Zero-Two-Xray-Lincoln-Robert-Eight" for those interested. I'm not going to touch the second one...

Where I work, CCW means "carrying a concealed weapon" and UDAA means unlawfully driving away an automobile IE: Stolen car. There are two guys I work with who have personalized plates. One reads "1 CCW" and the other reads "1 UDAA". There is also another guy on my department who has "RAUDAA" which means "robbery armed UDAA" IE: Carjacking. I'd have to select #2 becuase I'd talk to you about your car and you'd be on your way. Depending on your attitude of course. Just remember, honesty and attitude are EVERYTHING although some cops will write you a ticket regardless.
Cool topic, Tom. Hope it gave you some insight. At one time, I considered "MMM BEER", a homage to Homer Simpson and my love for microbrews. While I do drink responsibly (don't spill a drop lol), I thought a cop would frown on it. I checked out the plate availability online in Virginia and someone already has it! Oh well. B)

Thanks for the help. I am really trying to decide between STAMPDE and this. I think I102XLR8 is going to win out. I like that fact that it takes a little thought to understand it. Gives people behind me something to do at a light.
Also, I'm ALWAYS courteous and keep a good attitude when I get pulled over.....it's pointless not to be. Other people have posted this before and it's true.....at night, always turn on your inside light and keep your hands on the wheel. They really appreciate that!
I drive a vehicle with Govt. plates for work. I had a funny thing happen recently when I got pulled over for speeding. It was at night and I never even saw the Police car until his lights came on behind me. I pulled over and stopped, then saw him pull up alongside me. He hollered over "keep going, sorry...I didn't see your plates". Very cool of him. Now, when I get my Stang I just have to remember I don't have a Govt. plate on it.

James the only thing u have left to do is to get rid of that dodge
Actually I am almost grateful when someone in our city has a valid license (especially if they have it on them) and/or they say "I am coming home from work"...like wow you have a job, way to go!!!" Our city is the city of Temp tags because no car can pass E-check. We have such an overcrowding problem in jail we don't physically arrest for DUS. And our jail doesn't book-in for anything less than violent felonies or failure to appear/bench warrants.
For example, after arresting a drunk for fighting anyone he was close to in a local bar one block away from the jail and having to pepper spray him after wrestling him to the ground with 3 other officers, the jail sergeant actually asked (Sheriff's office not the city PD I work for) actually ask me what exactly my prisoner did to me for a resisting arrest charge and whether I thought he would cause a problem if the jail ordered him into court. Ummmm...Yeah the bar was one block away I think he might walk back and start fighting again.
(Hence the revolving door). Sorry for the rant, just had to blow off steam.
Take care,
James
I might have to use a ten code for my stang now that I think about it.
Options:
Ten 33 - Lights and sirens
Ten 96 - Mental
Ten 97 - Stolen car
Ten 42 - End of shift
hehe, thanks for putting that idea in my head guys.
