 My dealer told me my car was built (thanks I knew that when it was built on the 4th) but it is on "quality hold." I contacted Ford customer service and they said the same thing. So, what gives? Are they having problems with IUP again, or does it have something to do with the active anti-theft? I ordered the first week of November and I'm getting tired of this nonsense. :bang: If anyone has any answers I'd appreciate them.

I know they pull one off the line every so often to do a test drive and a Quality inspection to make sure the lines are doing what they are supposed to. I know the delay sux, but not always a bad thing.

I sure wouldn't have minded my car being pulled for a quality hold. It would have saved me a lot of trips back to the dealer.

Yeah, I know about the random inspections and I think that is a good idea, but I don't think they last three weeks! Something must be up?

Mine was built on 2/3 with IUP and Active Anti-theft. Of course, the global open feature has been deactivated at the factory. As you mentioned, that could be the reason for quality hold on yours.

Mine was built the same day. Have you received yours yet? There shouldn't be too much difference in delivery timewise I live in Pensacola. From the info I got today, my car is still in MI. What's 3 more weeks on top of 3 months waiting?

Yes, I have mine already. I purchased mine from dealer stock last Sat. (2/19). Also, it's a long story, but I had ordered another 05 Mustang GT, Sonic Blue, Auto, with every other option except the upgraded wheels and Shaker 1000. It was also built on 2/3. It arrived at the dealer in So. FL on 2/14.

My car was built Feb 3 (ordered Nov 4, WVBlue w/IUP) supposed to be shipped convoy carrier on Feb 7. I was expecting it to be delivered the following week. When I called customer service, was told it was pulled for quality hold. Finally delivered on Feb 21. Maybe the quality hold was a good thing because it is absolutely perfect. So far, no rattles, noises, orange peel in paint or skipping cds.
Keep the faith, it will be there soon and believe me, well worth the wait!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the encouraging comments. I'm pretty frustrated right now. I want my car so badly. I know I still have two major hurdles:
1). Getting it here.
2). Getting out of the dealership without strangling one or more people.

I can relate. I ordered my car in October and waited patiently. It was built Jan. 20 and was supposed to arrive at the dealer Feb. 5. That was three weeks ago and I can't get a straight answer about when I can expect it. Meanwhile, I sold my '02 GT Tuesday after I held off the buyer as long as possible. So I am completely Mustangless for the first time in a decade.
I was really pleased this week when I emailed Ford Customer Service three days ago and they sent me an automatic reply that said they would try to get back to me in 3-5 business days. I'm glad I'm so important to them. :notnice:
