I ordered last Saturday and received a Vehicle Order Confirmation.

Is there enough information on this to find out the status of my car or do I need the DORA?

Also, until I get the DORA, that means the dealer has not actually submitted my order??

 

You get a DORA the day after the car is placed to Ford. You need a DORA so you have your order number and all that good stuff. Ask your dealer for status.

 

Just called a minute ago and the order was put in this morning so I should get DORA faxed to me tomorrow or Friday.

IIRC, the order number (& dealer number) are also on the VOC.
You'll need those and the body type. T82 in my case.

 

Where is the order number on the DORA? I don't have the VOC number any where if someone can PM it to me, that would be great!

 

My VOC did not have the Dealer code, and the order number was different than the one on the DORA (maybe the VOC is a dealer order number, rather than a Ford order number.)

 

Let me add my question here rather than starting a new thread:

I have 2 DORAs. One dated 11/18/04 and the other dated 11/30/04.
Now can someone tell me what the date means? Is it the date that the DORA was printed or the date changes were submitted?

 

Mine is the same way.
The first date is when the VOC was submitted and accepted and the DORA was sent to the dealer.
The second date is when you changed something and the new DORA was sent.

 

If the order number is different, that's not YOUR VOC.
The order number is dealer controlled. Ford doesn't care what it is. They put whatever order number your dealer chose on the DORA. They WILL match.

It is the VOC, it's exactly like the picture that was posted. The order number is 2222 in the VOC and S022 in the DORA. The DORA and VOC are both for my car, my name is on both forms.

 

The VOC you have may not be the real one they submitted. 2222 may be their mock-up number. Most dealers use 9999. In fact I have one from another dealer where he put all my specs in the computer just to be able to give me something "official" with prices on it.
Is your dealer number in the same place it is on Eleanors'?
