Unless your doing something really stupid, it wont make a difference what exhaust you choose.

Or, If the whiny Mary-Kay cosmetics lady is doing the local sheriff deputy, you might get little hassle.

Don't know about the Pypes but the Stingers are advertised as legal in all states except CA -

I would imagine that any new car manufactured with catalytic converters having them removed is illegal.

Technically, its a federal offense to remove a working catalytic converter, but Ive never heard of anyone being hassled over it.

I've heard of a few people being harassed, ticketed and such, but that's it. An off road pipe is exactly that. It's only for use off road. Now of course, 99% of off road pipes sold are for street vehicles. But they are technically illegal because your car came with cats. Unless you're driving around like an idiot and giving a cop a reason to harass you, you won't have any trouble.

Unless you're street racing or being a complete a$$, you should be fine. Plenty of us run off road pipes without getting harassed. I have on all of my Mustangs.

This is the combo I run... love it!

But, I do get a little nervous cruising within earshot of the 5-O.

I have an O/R X pipe and Roush Off-Road mufflers (stingers basically) and I love my combo!! But as for your question... O/R means off-road.. no catalytic converters...they are non existant which is illegal. So yes that combo is illegal. You will also be illegal if you have cats and stingers due to the DB level you will be producing.

05+ stangs generally sound like crap without cats anyway, so I vote that you just keep them.

Hmmm. Off Road pipe huh? To me that means ILLEGAL for street use -- especially in Colorado, land of emission tests. Cats are there for a purpose.

Heh, I agree. Shouldn't be THAT loud unless you run low 11's or better. Kinda silly to be barely beating a 330ci and sounding like John Force IMO.

If you annoy a state trooper in Va, you're bound to get checked and ticketed for no cats, or tint, or tinted license plate frames, or any illegal lighting setup, even if you are related to the officer.

land of emmissions tests? Colorado has done away with its emissions test alltogether! Also, colorado does not have any sort of inspections. Meaning th only time I get checked is when I get pulled over.
