Well that's good to hear. Hopefully in the next couple of days I will be able to hear that mine too has been shipped. Of course this means that it will get bumped up from the 15th to the 21st/22nd, or something like that. Fine with me, as long as I see some changes in status I'm happy. I hate it when it's just sitting there at the same thing for ages. It makes me feel like my car has been abandoned. Haha, I am a loser.

 

Any updates cookiemonster? I'm pretty sure the eta of 12/15 just isn't right in my case. Maybe you have had better luck?

 

Everything is back to normal at AAI!!!Thats funny!! When was anything normal at AAI!!!! BTW, I work there!! Been having some parts shortages and there was a product hold on parking brake cables on the 'stangs, don't know if they've been given the ok to ship yet, but they are working very hard to get them out before Christmas!!!!!

 

must have something to do with the parking brake frezzing.....i had a dealer order new ones as well as rotor`s pad`s and calipers all under warranty......

 

Man I hope that they do get them out by Christmas. It's just so annoying to call up the ERL and hear an eta of week of 12/15. That date has come and passed. I just want to hear that my baby has been shipped. I will be beyond excited when I finally get that update.

Okay so my ETA "week of 12/15" was a lie by the ERL!!(?)

The ERL still says (as of 12/27), that my car was "released as of 12/11" with an ETA of the week of "12/15" ... I checked with the dealership on 12/22, and I got another call from my dealer today (12/27), both times stating that the car is still in Michigan to be "looked over" for safety and/or quality reasons because it was "custom ordered" with my name on it - and that the car may come in in about two weeks or so(!?)

Is this legitimate or did my dealer sell my car out from under me??

 

My '07 torch red GT vert was released on the 17th with an expected delivery of 12/19-12/26. That has come and gone but no vert yet. I have seen that there was a shortage on 18 polished wheels which would have held some of them up but mine has the stock 17' wheels. We have a rail delivery yard about 3 miles form my house and the dealer is in constant contact with them. The yard has noticed that mustangs are coming in 7 to 9 days late. If that's the case then I won't see mine until after the first and "POOF" there goes $1500 in rebates.

UPDATE!!

Chatted with the ERL tonight and as of Jan 2nd, my vehicle has been shipped via convoy with an eta week of Jan13th.

Give her a call guys that have posted here awaiting their cars. She might have some good news.

 

My car was unloaded from the rail car at the distribution center on a Friday. The dealer said to come down Friday evening to pickup the car.

Turned out that it didn't get delivered to the dealer that day, and that I would have to wait till the following Monday.

It really sucked to think that I was going to get the car, only to find out I had to wait till the following Monday.

My head was ready to explode.

Take a couple of deep breaths... It'll be in your drive way soon. It's worth the wait.

UPDATE!!!!

Car was delivered today!! I just got the phone call from the dealer!!! I am beyond excited. I think I need a new pair of pants!

Yay!


Going to pick up tomorrow morning. I'll be stopping by tonight to take a look at her. Maybe I'll snap some cell phone pics and post. Wish me luck!

That's great! And it's supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow so you might even be able to drive home top down! Where'd you buy from?

 

Man I hope the weather permits me to put the top down! I got it through Tasca Ford. My family has had a history with them and they are great. I got a peak at it tonight after work. Check out the attachment!

Mine arrived yesturday and we've put 100 miles on it since then, about half of that was with the top down. Having all kinds of problems with this big SE grin. Can't seem to wipe it off my face.
