Priority 99
#1
I orderd a GT Premium on 10/28/05 from a rural, low volume dealer that probably sells 10 or more trucks for every car they sell. I got my VOC and it has Priority: 99 and Order No: 0099. Today I've been reading that a low priority number close to 10 is best. Is it possible that my dealer matches the priority number to the order number and my priority isn't as bad as it looks?

ltda - i think we experienced just about every horror posted in this forum. this last time around, we also had a priority of 99 and order number of 0999 on the VOC. we were told that sometimes dealers will do that initially as a way to check the order, but when actually submitted the priority number ande order number will change. i suggest you check with your salesperson early next week for your true priority code and the order number.

You will never see that car,,,the order is on hold....
I would get my money back fast.......If he gave me that number and if he does lower it ,I would still get my money back because he will not see the car....I have a local small dealer near me and he has not seen any 2005 GTs at all{a few V6s}So far he has not got any O6s Gts yet and sure he will not get any.Jt

Before anyone gets too crazy with that 99 Priority, Dave, just ask your salesperson for a copy of the DORA (Dealer Order Recipt Acknowledgement). If the Priority is still 99, then I would really worry, but most likely it has a normal number. Whenever I have a customer who wants to see how much a vehicle would cost if they were to order it, when I go onto CONCEPTS (the program that can "build" a car), I always use 99. See, you need to add a priority number to spec out a car on the computer , just to see the price, even if the customer isn't ordering it. Just like you have to add the colors, inside and out. When you talk to your saleperson, get a copy of the DORA, and see what the number is. Just remember, all the VOC is, is showing you how the vehicle is to be built, but has no bearing on if it was ordered. Once the dealer )and you) get a copy back of the DORA, that you know the car has been built to your specifications. Give the person a call today to make sure.

The number means nothing without knowing how that dealer does things and what other priorities . A 10 is the lowest a dealer can give you, but that 33 is just as good as a 10 IF there are no orders with a priority of 10-32.
LTDA - you need to find out what is ahead of you priority wise and what type of allocation your dealer has.
When I ordered my 05 on 6/13, my dealer was able to list the other Mustangs ahead of me, tell me how many they still had allotted, and of those, how many were GT's.
I would not be comfortable with a 33 priority even from a large dealer.
Good luck, these cars are worth the wait. I am still trying to lose the permagrin.

Depends on the dealer....
I had a dealer that said I could have had a stang Gt but i would be Priority 18,I asked him what his allocation is.He told me that they get about 2 Gts a month and so I asked him thats 9 months..But he still could not promiss me the car.....
Better off looking instead of ordering as of now.JohnnyT

I would shop around for a dealer that would accept X-Plan or give be a price below MSRP, and of course have allocations available.
On the day I ordered my car (10/20/04) I had one dealer tell me I would be waiting a year, while another dealer (the one I ordered from) told me 6 weeks. My order was priority 20 and total wait time just over 8 weeks.
A good friend of mine ordered an 06 Mustang GT in Mid-September and picked up the car on October 30.
