Does the Dealer decide it?

Is it in some contract?

 

Your priority code is usually on the DORA. Just ask your dealer and they should tell you. Although in the grand scheme of things the priority code is subjective from dealership to dealership.

At my dealership all "sold" orders aka customer orders were ordered priority 10. All stock orders had code of something like 20. If the dealership had special permission or some sort of an arrangement to get a car through uber fast (such as the car being damaged at the factory) it gets a priority code of 1.

 

Your priority number is also printed on your VOC (Vehicle Order Confirmation) which you should have gotten from your dealer when you ordered. Priority 10 is usually the best you can get as a customer.

 

Ordered my GT Deluxe on 03/14/05; VOC stated Priority is 10. Quoted 16-20 week delivery at that time. Dealer told me that they can't get the DORA as it has not be serialized, still C/U. When will the banks open up for an '06? If I place an order for an '06, will the dealer keep the deposit on my canceled '05 order?
