Priority 40...DORA August 3, 06...Still clean and unscheduled...any thoughts???

Ordered July 26, 06...DORA alter-order August 3, 06 priority 40...updated as of August 31, 06 Clean and unscheduled...Any thoughts on this would be helpful...Just over 4 weeks from DORA and still clean and unscheduled...I was told 6 to 8 weeks from order to pickup...What exactly does priority 40 mean? Thank you for you input....

Priority 40 isn't the best. The lower the number the better. The best you usually can do is 10.

As long as they don't have any orders with a lower number than yours your are OK, otherwise you are potentially going to wait. My first order had a priority of 26 and then I cancelled and went with another dealer and got priority of 10. At least you know that your next in line with a priority of 10 as then it goes by date of order entered into system (retail before dealer stock). At priority 40 they could potentially insert orders for other custerms or their dealer stock all day long and you'd wait forever. But then again they may use 40 as their lowest number for some reason in which case you don't have to worry about getting bumped, it's all relative.

Priority 40 is probably not going to get built.

Thanks everyone for their input...I am unable to go to another dealer...I bought this in a promotion that has ended August 31...

I understand it will take around 4 weeks to get once a VIN is issued...So at this point I am looking at the earliest end of September....I was told it would be here then...I hope this is not there way of getting orders...Tell them what they want to here and when it comes, it comes...I will talk to the sales manager on Thursday if I do not here anything...Thank you again everyone, Vegas...

Canadian Order

I ordered my GT vert June 30th, priority 10 form a small dealer. It wasn't scheduled until August 25th. It is scheduled to be built this week with dealer ETA week of Sept 18th.

If you are not getting accurate information on your order, see my sig. I used the Ford telephone number checking on my '05 and they were very helpful. Good luck!

Is the customer relationship number for canadian orders as well? I ordered a 2007 GT/CS on July 20th. Still to this date the only information my dealer has told me is that they do not have a build date so they can't tell me when they expect it to arrive. I would switch to another dealer, but I will lose out on the ford family pricing promotion. I don't know if they were slow on getting my order in or if its been given a low priority.

wouldn't get too depressed my car has been on order since July 26th and still not serialized.... I believe that the reason for the delay are the 18" Polished wheels... this seems to be the common option in the cars that have been over 2 months without being serialized..... just gotta tough it out! btw what dealer did you go through?

I ordered mine thru Chilliwack ford. The other dealers I went to were giving me a hard time about ordering an 07 and getting ford family pricing. Chilliwack ford were the only ones who said they would do it. My dealer said the same thing about the wheels too.

I am still not allocated at this time...I was told the 18" rims were the problem...I drop them and will buy something else. Anything to get my car here faster...I hope tomorrow will be the day I get allocated...New month and new allocation starts, I thing it works that way...Best of luck to you all...I noticed Canadian orders take much longer....

My thoughts are with you. I'm in the same boat and the dealer can't give me a reason why my order is not in their computers, but Ford says I'm still clean/unscheduled. Coming up on 6 weeks and I've already got my financing. A big, blank check on my TV is calling me...are you listening, Ford???

I've always waited 2-3 months for a Ford factory order.

I ordered mine in mid July '05, and picked it up Sept. 1. I thought that was great, considering it was very early in the '06MY and everyone was waiting to get an '06. It was still in the middle of the frenzy when they couldn't build them fast enough. I don't know anything about priority numbers or anything, but I know my salesman was the GM for the dealership which happened to be the largest Mustang dealer in the midwest. (might have helped)
