I just ordered 2 weeks ago, and according to the lady who handles car orderes at my dealership...there is one car before me waiting to get a build date..and they are doing 2 cars a week. So, mine shoudl get a build date this week or the beginning of next week.


Can someone explain how the Priority numbers work? Whats a normal number to get? what do others have?

My DORA says 15.

 

last i checked i was priority 01. I think 10 or less is good, so talk to your dealer maybe.

 

10-99 are for dealer orders

10 is best
99 is worst

priority 1-10 are reserved for special stuff like if you have a defective car or you need it quickly and stuff like that.

Absolutely wonderful. No problems yet and I couldn't be happier.

O, and nice choice on the 5-speed. It is so well implemented on the new car. It took a little getting used to, but it is very nice.

 

They said that they build 2 cars a week??? For what I understand is they build around 30 cars and hour.

 

Maybe thats what they are going to get at his dealership...

 

I have a priority 13...wait a minute...13 is an unlucky number

 

I have my DORA in front of me, and cannot locate priority number. Could someone please direct me to the correct location on the DORA for priority number.

We ordered from the same dealership, and I ordered on 9/23. I talked to them yesterday and they said I am on Temp Hold to get serialized and a VIN. They expect me to come off that Temp Hold next week, and my build date should be scheduled sometime soon after that.

RSM has been allocated 30 Stangs. 25 of them are pre-ordered. I am thinking I am the one before you waiting for a build date, I am Stang number 18. There were 3 Stangs before me that were on Temp Hold two weeks ago, and they came off and got VINs last week. The FM said that its taking about a week to get off this Temp Hold deal. I have no idea what its about, but its annoying thats for sure.

I had a priority 18, now I am priority 10. I am just hoping that from VIN to delivery is not that long. I am sitting right at 4 weeks right now. If I get it at 8 weeks, that means I should have a build date of around Nov 10ish, for delivery around Turkey Day... I would be giving some serious THANKS! LOL

I just hope my build date doesnt come right around TDay, then I would have to wait an extra week for the holiday.

 

mgdumont - on my DORA, it is located directly to the right of my order number.

The order number is the 4th line down. First line has some CHG code, Vehicle Order Confirmation, second line is blank cept for the far right having the dealer code on it, and the third line says 2005 Mustang, Tag # and Page #.

4Th line, Order No, Priority Code, Order Type, and Price level.

 

Mine is 20, I think I was the second or third to pre-order @ that dealer. With the pricing I'm getting, I figure thats fair. :yes:

 

JessicaRabbit, thanks for the info. Unfortunately my fourth line shows no priority #
:bang: Order type is the only thing listed. I sure hope I get an update from dealer in the next week or so.

 

mgdumont, I wouldnt wait. Call him tomorrow, and ask for a DORA with all the correct info on it. I think there is a DORA scanned and posted here somewhere on the forum.. I would have to take some time to find it.
