According to the ordering sheet, the only differences I see between the GT Deluxe and GT Premium is that the Premium has the leather seats and the Shaker 500. I am not a fan of leather seats because of the added care and my hiney on hot Texas summer days. So I figured I'd get the Deluxe and upgrade to the Shaker 500.
Code:
           Invoice MSRP
GT Deluxe 22288 24370
Shaker 500 592 665
           ------ ------
Total 22880 25035

GT Premium 23489 25705
w/Shaker 0 0
           ------ ------
Total 23489 25705

Difference 609 670
So basically...I can get the Premium with the Shaker and leather for $600-ish less than a Deluxe with Shaker and cloth?

Am I missing something? Isn't leather more expensive than cloth? Why the price break? Would this be something I could use in negotiating price (Ask for a $600 dicount on the Deluxe since I'm not gettin leather)?

MSRP is BS. The invoice price of the deluxe is less, so you'll pay less.

I don't see a descrepancy

Useing your own numbers here.

The GT deluxe
Invoice cost Total 22,880 with the Shaker 500 and cloth seats.

The GT Premium which comes with the Shaker 500 and leather seats
Invoice cost Total 23,489

This means the GT Premium buyer is paying 609$ for leather seats.

This makes sense to me because he is adding something to the car. When you add something to the car the price goes up.

When you say "I can get the Premium with the Shaker and leather for $600-ish less than a Deluxe with Shaker and cloth?" I just don't see that in the math. The GT Premium is more expensive than the deluxe not less. Which I say again is exactly as it should be.

Its sorta on the same topic... about leather seats...

On the V6 Premium model it says:

"Seats - leather bucket (optional on Premium Coupe)"

*This is from the revised Sept 1st order guild btw*

So... does that mean:

A. You have to pay extra for the Leather Seats?
B. It comes Standard with the Leather Seats?

And if B, can you get some cash back for not wanting/getting Leather Seats?

Thanks for any answers you can give! You guys are the Mustang guru's here! :worship:

premium v6 does not come with leather seats if you want the leather seats you pay extra for them as an option. If you do not want them you don't buy that option.

Yes, that is confusing. I think it means that the leather seats don't come with the Premium V6, but that the option is available. i.e. you can't get them on the deluxe V6 at all, though there is an exception for the color accent package.
