I know prices aren't available until right before or on Sept. 7. You are talking about a fully loaded GT at about 28 or 29K. How much would you suspect a fully loaded V6 to be (23K?)? I asked this question a while back and got my head ripped off, or seemed close to it. But you guys were justified, I didn't research before I posted. Lesson learned, however.

yeah everything i seen have said the V6 starting under $20K. So $18 maybe the starting point but a fully loaded V6 could come in around $23K. :spin:

A base model mustang is not considered fully loaded. Adding all the options would be considered fully loaded IMO.. (ie upgrading to the V6 premium option then adding the leather seats, the automatic, etc..) Just my opinion of a fully loaded car, if it differs from yours then that is what makes this a forum.. Opinions and facts and wishes (ie the cover for the engine).

it also depends on the state too...I am moving to mass from new york this weekend and have been looking at 04's
There is about 1000 dollar difference between the two states for almost exactly the same cars.
You can check it out for yourselves on forddirect.com
try one state and then another and you should see a difference...

I read in Muscle Mustang And Fast Fords that base price for V6 model will be around $18,000, not $20,000.

On another thread (searched around but couldn't find it) someone posted that they spoke to a Ford Engineer at one of the shows, and was told that a fully loaded GT minus the shaker 1000 was going to be around $26,800. If I recall the thread correctly. The same thread had said that with the shaker 1000 it would be about 28K. Now of course this was just an engineer and I doubt they know much about pricing, especially this early. But this does agree with Dan's claim, and I personally think this price feels more correct. Again, before all of the rude, negative people rip my head off, this is as I recall from an earlier post and is possibly in error.
The 05 V6 may start under $18K, but it will be for a complete stripper w/o shipping.
Go to the Ford website and price an 04 Mustang. Then add 5% and you'll be within a nat's hiney of what an equivalent 05 will cost.
