price ?
hey whats going on guys,
i was wondering if anyone knows what a v6 is going to cost with the chrome trim (gauges, ac etc) ? im really digging the retro look and hopefully can sell my current pos car (infiniti g20) and get a 05 mustang
i don't have that much money anymore so im going to have to settle for the v6 also the high cost of gas is just making it harder for me to get the v8.
if anyone can give me a good estimate id appreciate it !

Dan I would guess a fully loaded (with automatic) coupe would be much closer to $30,000 than $28,000.

You can get a current GT for around 25k loaded now. Even with a 4% increase, it comes out to 26k. Now, assuming that there are 2k of additional options etc. its still 28k.
30k for a fully loaded GT coupe seems way too much. I'd expect the first SE to come in around 30-31k.

it also depends on the state too...I am moving to mass from new york this weekend and have been looking at 04's
There is about 1000 dollar difference between the two states for almost exactly the same cars.
You can check it out for yourselves on forddirect.com
try one state and then another and you should see a difference...

I can't see the GT going for more than $28 loaded. Here is a Mach 1 for $25K on sale granted most are going for $30K.

Hope that works
Just my opinion.

This is late in the model year for the 04s. The MSRPs have dropped.

Actually, I think they were about the same. Don't forget, automakers were going crazy with the rebates last year (when I bought my Mach 1
) and now they seem to be backing off on the amounts slightly.
Ford will get what they ask for the mustang GT initially, but after 3-4 months its anyone's guess if there will be rebates. I'm thinking that the overall shape of the economy will determine that.

I know prices aren't available until right before or on Sept. 7. You are talking about a fully loaded GT at about 28 or 29K. How much would you suspect a fully loaded V6 to be (23K?)? I asked this question a while back and got my head ripped off, or seemed close to it. But you guys were justified, I didn't research before I posted. Lesson learned, however.
