Mine accepted X-plan. In fact, my step-dad qualified for X-plan, but I did not. I talked with the dealer, and he found me a guy who gave me a PIN number that I qualified for. So yes, mine accepted it and he found a PIN # for me. That's what I call service.

I ordered mine on a Z-plan pricing.(Same as A-plan pricing, 2% under invoice) My salesman showed me when I went to pick up my car that they were still going to make over $1600 on the vehicle, so your dealer is definitely lying to you.

The truth is that Ford does not have any vehicles that they are able to sell for sticker price or over sticker, so many see it as an opportunity to get some easy money.

Also, on a side note, I was also able to use a $1000 rebate that my grandfather had qualified for because he was retired UAW union.

Ordered and purchased a GT under x-plan. Dealership dragged their feet a bit, but I was extremely persistent and thanks to this site I knew more than the salesman about the process and pricing. Initial order was on 9/31 car arrived 11/29.

I got the x-plan at park ford in tallmadge, Ohio. They were hesitant at first when I went in May but they did call a month later and said that the x was going to be accepted. They said that they would rather have a customer for life than make a few bucks now. Sales Manager also said that they do get something back from FORD so it's not like they really lost a lot. Only loss was that they could have gotten msrp and maybe even better. Great bunch there and honest. If your dealer told you they don't get anything back from Ford, he is either incompetant or a liar...I guess you pick.

Depends on dealer...we would not take -plan pricing on GT's (except mine ) but will on v6's. We have sold all 4 GT's @ MSRP, not over. Price is not everything...while important, if you have a good relationship with your dealer (I realize most do not, as most dealers do not make it very easy to), it MIGHT be worth paying a little extra. It is up to you...if you must have x-plan, shop around.
