Glad to see Ford coming out with their own version. IMHO, none of the copies look as good as the preproduction cover. They look cheap and homemade to me.

Eh, I'm probably buying an '07 and that cover will find its way onto a shelf in my garage. Anyone else?

I'm sure you wouldn't have any problem selling it.

Reasonable price and Ford work in the same sentence if you mention Kevin

It's only reasonably priced if you get it from Kevin!

I wonder how much FORD will want for it since Auto gear has already been selling a knock off version, which I bought and is very nice. However I have to sell mine after having it for 1 week because I ordered the CDC shaker system.
How is that shaker system going to look with your stripes?

I personally like the Ford cover and I"m sure I'll pay because of it. Their stuff isn't cheap.

One thing I'm wondering though is I'm not sure I want to put such a big heat conductor on top of the intake runners. Best performance will come from that area being as cool as possible.

Still have to think about it.

Looks identical to the one from Midwest Auto Gear.
In looking at the Midwest site, apparently the pic of the cover with the raised pony and "Powered by Ford" was a custom job done by someone that bought a Midwest cover. They don't sell any like that......too bad because it doesn't look half bad.

Wade,

Modifying the cover from Midwest is child's play. Mine just has a stick on 68 Mustang script. Use your imagination and do what you like. There won't be many mods possible with the Ford item, different color maybe? Every single person who has seen it in person and touched it or picked it up thinks it is a quality piece. Those who don't know better, always think it is factory. And it is pretty darn close to the concept piece. I'm having fun with the Midwest part now and highly recommend it. Of course you can wait around until 07 for Ford, that's cool too!

That doesn't look bad. It's the best looking aftermarket version that's out there. Too bad it says BBK on it. That ruins it, IMO. (nothing against BBK though)
