Nearly made me sick and we only went 20 of the 30 minute allotment; has sticky Kumho and race pads on, and the car was dialed in, he was passing people left and right.
Chuck is a hilarious guy. Definitely a great racer. Did he try and convince you to switch to a 944?

No, he actually said he's a Mustang guy but currently drives a Porsche. I didn't know who he was, of course, and he didn't give alot of instruction. It was my first time out ever so I was going pretty slow and letting people pass frequently.

Rich helped quite a bit and by the end of the day I was keeping up with, and could've actually passed, the NISMO 350z and the new 370z with the track pack that was there. Hopefully will improve even more at the next event, just knowing it almost always rains or snows here on Halloween, so we'll see what will happen.

You live around here?

That's kind of Chuck's style I think. I haven't ever had him as an instructor personally, but he does a lot of work with run group 3 when we practice side by side starts, standing starts, etc. He's always watching, but kind of allows you to teach yourself until he needs to intervene.

For the life of me I can't remember his name, but the instructor I've had in HPDE1 and then check rides up to run group 3 has all been done by NRM forum member MHISSTC. Great instructor. He taught me tons.
