Pics from Peak to Peak Highway, Nederland, Colorado
Nice pics Josh!
Gorgeous pictures! Thanks for posting them.
And did you mean the mountains west of Boulder?
First six years of my life were spent in Keystone and Breckenridge. Words cannot express how much I miss those mountains....

Woops! I did mean west of Boulder. It's just such a backwards city, I got all turned around! Thanks for the compliments, guys, beautiful day up there and with the moisture this state received this year some of the brightest colors we've ever had.
I went up there with the wife for a relaxing drive, but had to mix in bedding in the EBC RedStuffs (got new Roush TrackPak rear rotors, too) for the trip to High Plains Raceway for my first HPDE, it was a blast! Here's some photos from the event:

Thanks! Got the wheels cause they're pretty light for a 20, but wondering if I should get something a bit more stylish. Still, though, I sorta like the basic 5 spoke design, and they look even larger on the car than most 20s. Lighter wheels would cost a whole lot more, too.
I agree on the attractiveness of the simple styling of the 5 spoke design. The only other 20s that I dig are the Shelby Alcoa's on the KR. I like the Shelby razors too, but they are too busy for my particular tastes. They look great, but just not me.

Good, cause I didn't post the one where he was past me! Actually, he never did pass me, but was in front of me on a different session.
Freaky car there was a green new beetle someone had completely tricked out, full roll cage, Audi S3 turbo engine, race suspension, arrived on a trailer. From the outside looked normal. Could barely keep up with him on the straight!

I'm new to it, so I was in HPDE1. The next event is on Halloween out there, 1 or 2 days:

Who was your instructor, if you don't mind me asking?
First guy was Chuck Taylor, apparently quite known nationally and a successful racer.
Second guy was Rich Lavender, actually lives close to where I do, gave a lot of useful advice, and a ride in his Z06 Vette, wicked fast! Nearly made me sick and we only went 20 of the 30 minute allotment; has sticky Kumho and race pads on, and the car was dialed in, he was passing people left and right.
