Thought you guys might like to see where the new Mustangs are being built... here's what the plant looks like on the outside and what you can see from the road and highway.

I'll try to get a better shot next time. The billboard on the side of the plant says "Built right here... the Mazda 6" or something like that. Wonder if they add the Mustang to it

Haven't built up enough courage to go down this street that looks to go into the plant, or atleast it's out skirts.

If this is in the wrong spot.. feel free to move it mods. Not sure where to put the pics up at.

Took these when I was just driving around last weekend.

Really cool, it would be nice if the plant was closer to the road, that way you could all the 'stangs lined up outside.

So does this place just have hundreds of acres out behind it? Just wondering where they park new cars in the numbers they must produce. I realize that they ship the cars as they are produced but they must have some level of build up. Also there used to be a person that posted here that worked in final trim and assembly at AAI. If you are still around, anything new and exciting happening around there?

Did something like that when I first got my Mustang.

Took a picture of it in front of Regent Court near World Headquarters.

These pics atleast 2 years old... I've made some improvements since then.

My mom used to work in this building. It's VERY nice inside. It's also known as "The Blue Lagoon"

Looks CGI'ed, but it isn't

Not really sure what's all behind it really. The new cars will be hidden.. that is for sure.

When on the Rouge Plant tour... we could see where they stored all the 04 Stangs and the new F-150's at and they are hidden from on lookers. I'd imagine they do they same here. Hidden by large trees and walls.

I don't work for AAI

Thanks Amy.
I sure would love to drive my New Stang home from the plant. Wouldn't that be the coolest? I don't live to far from there either, just a nice drive up the highway. I hear the Corvette plant will let you come watch your new Vette being built if you make the necessary arrangements.

I think it was Dodge that made that offer with the Viper, not the Vette.

But maybe Chevy is doing it too now.

Corvette has the Museum Delivery. You basically pay extra to take a tour of the assembly plant and you can take delivery of your car at the museum across the street.
corvettemuseum.com

Also, nice pics, Amy. Even if we don't get to take delivery at AAI, it's still nice to see the actual building.

Trust me, you can do it. If me and my buddies can steal two 24 packs of beer from a gas station that's directly across the street from a large police station, and get away with it, then you can definitely drive in their parking lot for a few minutes to take pictures!

:nono: Don't go spreading rumors about me stealing beer btw.... That never actually happened for your information...

...... Or did it !

Thanks. I have much nicer rims on the ride now.. still haven't lowered it yet though. We have a bunch of potholes and train tracks around here.

I might take some more pics of different Ford plants sometime. Ford has plants everywhere around here.
