My GT has about 1800 miles on it now and ALL of the bugs have seemed to worked themselves out. I had the squeaky brakes-GONE....I had the Shaker skip-n-spit-GONE...Rattle in or behing the dash guages-GONE!!! These problems were present from 50 miles to about 1,100 miles and (knock wood) have not returned over the last 700 miles ! Maybe the brakes just need to break-in, maybe the laser on the CD player needs some time to "set-up" , maybe the whole car just needs to settle-in and loosen up a bit to keep things from vibrating, skipping, creaking, rattling, whatever! The engine sounds much better now than it did when new, as does the exhuast. Clutch feel and shifting is better...probably a combo. of break-in and driver experience. I just wanted to let everyone know that sometimes new machinery needs some time to fully settle, and maybe the engineers take this into consideration??? I am very satisfied with the quality of my car at this point. My first service visit will consist of an oil change and NO WARRANTY WORK WHATSOEVER

Lets just hope the 06's are better. As far as the factory radio or any factory system goes, their all crap. I just wish you could order the car with no radio. Its sounds to me most of the issues are pretty normal except the rearend. Come on, its not like its a new "thing", they have been making rearends for over a hundred years now. Ford definatly pushes the "cheapness" to the limit. On my 86 GT I had it 3 days, went around a corner and the whole axel pulled out. I saw my rear wheel with the axel on it pass me by in the ditch, all because a little clip came off.

I saw a simliar situation. A dump truck in front of me turned the corner. He turned, but his gas tank fell off and went straight. Gas was spewing out the hose as it rolled.

Keep in mind that it's mass production and affordable.
