I got a partial VIN from my salesperson on the 2007 GT I ordered on March 20th:

1Z???????75200525

From what I've read the last 6 digits are the sequence number, so does this mean I have a build date? She didn't have any other information for me but was surprised when I said other people with 2007 orders already had full VINs and build dates.

I've been tempted to pick up a 2006 GT lately since I haven't received any word on when my car will be built. This makes me want to wait and see.

Do you have side air bags ?
1ZV=USA FORD
F=No Side Air Bags or H with side air bags.
T82 = Mustang GT Coupe, T85 = Convertible
H = 4.6L 3V Engine
9th Digit = Check Digit Check HERE for explanation of how to figure this number
7 = MY 2007
5 = Flat Rock Michigan Plant
200525 = Sequence Number

So your VIN is 1ZV(F or H)T8(2 or 5)H(Chk Digit)75200525

Don't give up on the '07 order. Mine was ordered April 1st and it just got submitted to the plant this week. I'm scheduled for build the week of June 12th so you're probably close to that as well.

If you ordered a vert, T82 changes to T85 and the check digit would change.

My salesperson (actually the dealership's fleet director) called today to tell me my 2007 GT has been "bucked" and they expect to see it on or around the 24th of June. Hopefully I'll have possession by the end of the month!
