At Best Buy I saw a Sonic Blue GT but I didn't have my camera with me. I looked at it for 5 minutes. It had the Bulliet rims and had the IUP with the light graphite interior. Man, I knew I wanted Sonic Blue but just seeing it in person on the vehicle made me drool.

You were at Best Buy. Was that pic not worth a couple hundred bucks for a digital camera? Just kidding. Steve (Galaxie) would have loved the pics though. He's still looking for sonic + IUP + bullitt rims. Steve, just going to have to take his word for it.

P.S. Kaptin, any new info on that spring upgrade package? If you can't say, at least "say" you can't say. Plz, respond.

Dan
I just asked and it's not coming out in Spring like I thought but actually in the 06 model year. Sorry . But I was told it's the "California Special." Can't remember what's on it but it had this type of chrome thing around the grill:

There weren't fog lights in the picture though. But yeah, it had the chrome lines stretching out from the corral and to the rims of the grill as well as a complete chrome tracing along the edge just like in the picture. Hope this helps somehow. [/b][/quote]
Thanks Kaptin, I appreciate the heads up!

Oh, and Shelby produced the California Special I believe. It was more of an appearance upgrade.

Except the rims/tires and side exhaust are custom.

Why a car buff in the greater detroit area does not have a digicam with them at all times baffles me

Get me more Sonic GT pics and all is forgiven

dano,

I am pretty sure Ford was behind the California Special, not shelby. At the time they moved the Shelby production into michigan and they bolted on some of the parts for an apperance package.

I used to hate that extra pair of driving lamps on the front of the GT, but now that i see em' more and more parked next to regular vehicles and trucks, I just love how different the car looks from the run of the mill "modern" designs. Nothing new here, I guess... you may move on
