Paid $1,000 under MSRP. However, my car was an order and all the retail mustangs at my dealer were going for MSRP or above.

I wish I could say I have bought one, but I did sell one to my mother on the DPLAN back in November. She got one with every option except for the upgraded wheels and auto trans for around 26,500. Makes me jealous just looking at it....

Paying MSRP when it arrives. About $36k total for loaded GT vert premium. This includes all taxes, fees, license and a drop ship fee (had to get it out of Florida).

$1,000 below MSRP, and happy to pay it! These cars are way underpriced.

When you consider my $500 over deal, given dealer price/dealer invoice w/ hold back . . . they'll still net almost $1500 . . . not bad for typing a few lines for the order, ripin' off some plastic and a wash job.
$1,500 for just typing and a wash job.

Oh and buying and maintaining that multi-million dollar facility, paying for the franchise, taxes, staffing the place with 100 or more employees, paying insurance, etc... Other than that, it's easy money, lol.

See signature. Actually, the MSRP would have been $28, 200 now with the price increases that have gone into effect if I would be buying today.

Alright guys . . . . I used to sell Fords so I have a pretty good idea what goes into making a dealership run. For every mooch like me there's half a dozen a lay downs that come in and get their head ripped off . . . they ain't hurtin'.

your all pretty lucky to those of you that paid under invoice. as of now im just paying sticker for the car. there might be a chance i can get D-plan closer to when my car gets here, but for now no dealer in my area is alowing D on a GT.

Kyle,

A couple of weeks ago A Ford Salesman on here (05FordGT) pointed out that his dealership often takes plans because they are near a Ford Factory. He said:

Where my dealership is at, we have both a Merck plant, and a Visteon Plant 5 minutes from us, so needless to say, we get alot of X-Plan, and A/Z Plan deals. I loved them when I first started because, I just was learning how to do this job, lol, and these deals are no hassle, and everyone is happy in the end. I still love them today, since they are still easy, painless, and the customer is very happy knowing they got a good deal

See http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=370662 for the whole thread.

The reason I mention this is, if you have a D-Plan then it would be worth your while to see if you could get a dealership to accept it. I believe the closest Ford assembly plant to you is the one in South-West Atlanta. Quite a drive from Boca, but it may be worth a couple of phone calls to see if they would accept your D-Plan (and save you thousands of dollars).

Here are 2 dealerships within 10 miles of the Ford Plant in Hapeville, GA.

1. Allan Vigil Ford
(678) 364-3673 7090 Mount Zion Blvd
Morrow, GA
www.allanvigilsford.com/

2. Gene Evans Ford Incorporated
(770) 964-9801 4355 Jonesboro Rd
Union City, GA

Just a thought.
