Our 2008 Mustang arrived today!
Well for those of you who know the story (http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=64702) we called our salesman today for an update and he rudely said he didn't know anything and that we should expect it by the end of August, but he wouldn't know anything before then
. After a few minutes of grumbling, we decided to call the dealership and ask to speak with the sales manager. We got the sales manager on the phone and he asked if it was a 2008 Vista Blue GT Premium Convertible. We said, "yes" and he said, "IT CAME IN EARLIER TODAY."
I think its kind of sad that instead of our salesman checking into it when we asked him he just snubbed us. Had he checked on it like we asked he would have looked good instead of coming off like an horse's rear end.
So I'm excited that it's here but am pretty disappointed in our salesman's handling of the whole thing.
They're closed on Saturdays but open Sundays, so we will go in and take a closer look. It needs the DIO items installed so probably won't take delivery until later in the week.
My wife managed to stop by after work and snap a few shots (taken with a phone in cramped space so please excuse the quality).

Call the sales manger and politely say that you want to come in and purchase the vehicle, but ask if there is any way I could deal with someone other then the salesperson. Insist that the sale is dependent on it. You won't even need to see the ramifications for the sales guy, it will definitely suck to be him.

My salesman called me when the truck came.
Believe me, being a salesperson, you do NOT want that request from customer to not do business with you.
Everybody at the dealer will know about it in 5 minutes, and it might get highlighted in the next Saturday morning meeting... ugh
.
When I got my 05 GT, the salesman, who I had issues with the whole time I waited for my order to arrive, told me I would get a evaluation questionaire from Ford, and that he needed all "5's". I'm not so sure they are still doing this, but just give an honest evaluation. One question dealt with the sales persons knowledge. Give him anything BUT a 5, since he obviously didn't know your car had come in.
