I got $500 UNDER invoice for my Premium GT- also offered invoice at another dealer in Austin

I ordered mine Saturday and was lucky to get $800 off MSRP but taxes were about $200 less here too so like $1000 off MSRP. I was told it would be in the first week of December. I went to several Dealers today and all wanted MSRP + some.
I left them in a hurry.
GT Prem, IUP, Auto, Windveil Blue with Dark Charcoal Int.
Now all we have to do is wait.
Wish we could go forward in time.

P.S. The salesman was the Fleet Manager and also Lurks on this site.
He also order the same car as I did.

I'm sure it's Invoice with holdback.

 

We have a dealer in Victor,NY that sells all Ford (except the GT not Mustang GT) $300 under invoice all day long.

 

Hey, I live in LI, can you name the dealer, I just might make a small road trip to take a look.

My personal order-out history ...

'94 Mustang ... ordered 4/30/94, delivered 7/7/94 (10 WEEKS)
'96 Windstar ... ordered 7/18/96, delivered 9/19/96 (9 WEEKS)
'98 Mustang ... ordered 2/21/98, delivered 4/29/98 (9.5 WEEKS)
'04 Mustang ... ordered 1/28/04, delivered 3/10/04 (6.5 WEEKS)

The '94 is probably the best comparison ... the mad "new model" order rush in the Fall of 1993 was probably similar to what is being experienced right now with the 2005. By the time I finally ordered mine in the Spring, it still took 10 WEEKS ... I'd guess the fall rush lead time back then was 15-20 weeks.

How can anyone think that 4-8 WEEKS is realistic for a 2005 ordered right after the Launch Celebration ?? My 2004 took 6.5 WEEKS with a $3000 rebate attached to it !! The new plant is not THAT much more efficient !!

weird ... i basically said that they are doing 20,000 cars a month, so all the preorders will be done in a month and a half, and 6-8 weeks is reasonable enough to expect your car.

 

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Starkey Ford in York Me. Order's in @ $500 over invoice on my V6 Premium coupe in Windveil Blue with charcoal cloth, auto, IUP (Indefinitely backordered GRRRRRR!!!) side air bags, antilocks, spoiler and white stripe. Total was $21.7K including the FDAF and gas. Dealer has no idea when the IUP allotment will free up so this order can be accepted but we figure Jan delivery.

 

Congrats drivetime ... don't worry, the IUP isn't as delayed as you think it is.
