well thats right....i had once in a lifetime oppertunity at 11:30pm on november 4th. i live in north jersey in the area around new york city. just to describe the area i work for a valet company and drove a maserati tonight (nov 5) but by no means am i rich ha...well now to the story. it was 11:30pm and i was stopped by the train tracks on one of the main streets in town and i look and a car up ahead stands out to me...low, wide, and those circle tail lights. i yelled to my brother OMG A FORD GT!!!!!!!!!!!! we had 2 stangs following soo we catch up to him cruising down until after the traffic light we break into 2 lanes and i get on the side of the driver and give him a HUGE thumbs up. he is very arrogant toward me and i notice he drops the car into gear and i follow (only knowing im about to get blown away) soo i hit the gas and im like dead even with him cuz hes not on it all the way and i notice he just slams on the gas and pulls right ahead of me...and im like alright he smoked me...then the guy freakin CUT ME OFF!! i was honored to have gotten smoked by such a wonderful machine. but the driver was a YOU KNOW WHAT!!....1st loss

Does that mean the GTO owners have money?

You know, I take objection to that. I'm not saying I am rich, but that's a pretty ignorant statement to make. That's really not true, I know a lot of rich people who are extremely nice, generous, and compassionate people. I know just as many "******" who are poor as who are rich.

Personally, if I had that car and then I had 2 cars pull up on both sides of me checking it out around 11:30 pm, ya, I wouldn't be too happy either.

In all fairness he did give him the thumbs up sign. That would just tell me the person next to me is a ford/gt fan. If he hadn't have done that, then I could understand being an hiney about it. But that guy was rude. I just dispute Pitch Black's claim that rich people are ******. I mean, if he was rich then there would be one more case...

That would have been great if he pulled up next to dhof303 or mikem or another one of our 11 sec nitrous members and got smoked.
I know a guy who has a 900 hp street driven Supra. He says the looks on the exotic car owners' previously smug/arrogant faces are priceless when he utterly destroys them.
I read an MM&FF article where this guy has a 9 second daily driver. It said he surprises a lot of Hayabusa owners. Haha. That would be so great...looking over, seeing the smug face and arrogance, then destroying them.
Someone owns a Ford GT about 2 blocks away from me. I see it in the driveway when I walk my dog sometimes. Nice car, but I'm not interested in curves at this point in my life, so a quarter million is a bit pricey for 11.6 secs...something my car can do with a hit of nitrous...

interesting, put I only know of a few rich ****** and a lot of mid class and poor ******.
OBTW, if I were in an exotic and got smoked by some 9 sec ricer or even a mustang I would not care, I would still be in a quality and limited exotic.

That's true to an extent...I'd rather have a 13 sec Mustang than a 12 sec Civic, but when it comes to quarter million dollar cars, it just seems wrong to me that they can easily be beat by modded $25k cars.
I mean, if I shell out a quarter or half MILLION dollars, I want to be darn sure that no punk kid is going to embarrass me on the street...

That daily driven car that smoked hayabusa's was a daily driven 8 second Twin Turbo Notch, not a 9 second car![Wink](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I had a Ford GT cruising right next to me for me whole commute on Friday morning. It's one thing to see it all roped off in the dealer's showroom, but to actually see it cruising along is a whole other story. It was awesome! At one point he was behind me at a light and I couldn't believe how much lower the GT was than my Mustang. I'm pretty sure he was just a dealership sales manager driving it from one dealership to another. He was going slooowww. He was nice enough to give me a wave.
By the way RaGsHoCkEy88 I have relatives in Fair Lawn. Great town!

the thing was the guy really had no right to be like that because i gave him like 3 thumbs up...all i wanted was maybe a wave or something. but nahh he had to smoke me!! i mean of all people i was driving next to jason kidd because on rt 17 over here in north jersey and he even gave me a "honk, hey nice car!!"....the story behind that was i was in traffic driving on a major highway in bergen county where some famous people do live, i work in the building that the devils hockey team coach lives in....and i was driving and saw a blue 67 shelby GT500. i see the guy driving and give him thumbs up and switch lanes...he switches, honks, and yells HEY NICE CAR!! and i started saying "I KNOW YOU!!" and it happened to be jason kidd haha
