I am scheduled and have a VIN already, so is it too late to switch to alloy gray?

The key word there is scheduled. Some have said that once you are scheduled, you shouldn't make any changes unless you want to go to the back of the line. Others have stated that changes can be done until you are segmented.

I changed my top to the cloth after mine was scheduled and it took and did not bump me. I realize this is not a body color but if you feel strongly about the alloy I would make the attempt. You are going to have the car for awhile (assuming) so even if it bumps a week or two it would be worth it. Plus repainting the entire car is normally very expensive to have done right. I just had my Road runner painted top to bottom and it was $8K.

Just my $.02.
