That's great news. It felt quick, but 4.8-4.9 is better than I'd hoped. Will be interesting to see how consistent these numbers will be across the different mags.

Any other highlights from the article? I don't like MT much, but in this case I'll go pick up a copy.

And if MT ends up getting 4.8-4.9sec 0-60mph with the 5-speed, I can't imagine what MM&FF will get.

Ford... That is sweet. My gosh, I thought it would be around 5.4... and in an auto! I think we have acheived Dream Status. Just think what one would make without added weight!

 

We need someone who has it to scan!

People are going to be like "wow, 5.1 for the 5-speed", and then find out its the auto.

 

I sure hope it's true! There is nothing on the M/T website yet.Still has the Oct issue posted. When do they usually switch it over to the new issue? Not trying to rain on the parade but I wanna see it b4 I believe it.

 

Now as I have been told (not sure if it's true or not) when MT tests a car they DO NOT use slicks or drag radials. They use the same tires the manuf. puts on the car AND they do not do track prep.

This is what I was told - don't shoot messenger if it's true.

Now toss slicks on there, put Evan Smith at the wheel, give it a 5 speed and put it a well prepped track close to sea level..... Low 13's???

If the tuners are getting 30 HP plus with a PCM reflash is this car a possible 12 second car????

I ordered the 5-spd manual. I can't even drive stick yet, a friend is supposed to teach me on his truck.....Should I just switch my order to the auto version?

Please somebody slap me and say - "be a man darn it and learn to drive a stick!"

Does anyone have the numbers for an 04' Mach 1 so we can compare!?

 

I still want to see the magazine. It would be nice! Not only compare with the Mach 1 but with the 04 GT. Let's see the difference.

 

Is there a big difference between the 03 and 04 Mach 1?

0-60: 5.3 sec.

1/4 mile: 13.8sec @ 102.5 mph
