I tried searching for a thread that talks about this but I couldn't find one. Well maybe my car is just "unique". Well, here is my situation, Kansas has just finally experienced some cooler weather and my brakes must hate it. Every time I turn into my driveway *turning to the left* there is a screeching sound coming from the rear of the car. Also when ever the car hasn’t been driven in a couple of hours and you press the brake pedal to slow down the brakes squeal like there is no brake pads and it's just metal against metal. I can't imagine going through a set of brakes with only 3,200 miles on the clock.

Also, whenever I'm not driving on a PERFECTLY smooth road there is a rattle coming from the passenger side in the back. My car sounds like a hunk of junk!!! Help me restore the greatness of this beast! :bang:

There is a TSB that addresses your rear brake noise. They will replace your pads for free.

I'm sure the dealer will findout what that rattle in the back is when you have the car in for service .....

Good luck. I'm sure everything will be just fine when your done......

They replace the Disc Brake Lining for the rear end squeak.

I'm getting it done on friday.
Check out the TSB in the TSB thread

Problem is I've had this squeaky brake problem for a few months and have taken it into the local dealer 2-3 times. The second time I took it in at 15,000 miles, they turned my rotors without asking. No pulsating brakes, just squeaking. TSB says specifically not to turn the rotors, but the TSB came out after the rotors were turned. I took the TSB back into the dealer and they performed the warranty under the TSB, but get this -- they did NOT replace my rotors! I'm PO'd as could be. First of all, I did not authorize them to turn the rotors in the first place. Secondly, the brakes were not pulsating, I only complained they were squeaking. The rotors should have NEVER been turned. And finally, by turning the rotors, they have diminished the life of the rotors. To quote them, they said "they are in specs". Obviously, DUH! They were in spec to begin with. Those rotors didn't need turned and I didn't authorize them to do so. To me, there is no difference between complaining about squeaky brakes and turning the rotors without authorization, or complaining about an engine noise and replacing engine components without authorization.
