Dittos on the friction zone. think of the clutch as the movement control and the gas as the noise control. use your ear to gauge the engine (add gas slowly when the volume dips!!!) and use your left foot to control the roll
it is a thing and feel; very viseral. funny thing is by christmas you will be able to start on a hill in 2nd gear while drinking a big gulp and posting to the forum on your blackberry
