New member of the mustang family
Colin, first of all congrats on the new ride! As for mods, the list of options is extremely long, so it probably depends on what you want to do first. Tweak the exterior style, add power, enhance the handling, or add some interior goodies. Lots and lots of options!
I haven't done any mods to it yet, but I want to be able to hook my iPod up with a aux cable, but I don't have a aux input anywhere. Does anyone know if I can install one? Or do I have to by a whole new head unit?
Window tint is Your best friend. That was my first mod. Keeps the car cooler prevents cracking an fading plastic and you don't feel like your in a fishbowl at stop lights. Other than that..that's a nice looking Mustang Congrats. An no you don't need a head unit just a cable. Try asking around at local sound shops. Cable depending on What brand anywhere from 20 to 60 bucks An whether or not you install it your self probably another 40 or however much they charge you. I would imagine it would be cheaper to buy your own cable an have the shop install it
my top few:
royal purple synchromax oil in the manual tranny- night and day difference on mine
SHR louvers (totally changes the look of the car- yet looks like it came that way)
tinted rear glass(GOT to redo mine...miss it)
trunk blackout (GOT to redo mine...miss it)
sequentials(these cars just beg for these)
shaker hoodscoop looks right at home
foose aluminum hoods prepainted on ebay for 400 delivered is a steal
deepdish wheels/wider rubber(likely will want lowering to look right- mines still sitting up)

Congrats on the new car (to you)! Welcome the the site. Check out the Windveil Blue color section to get some ideas on the looks side. Mods are what you feel you will be happy with driving it. Also ford4v429 whered you see the foose hood at for $400!?
at 18 I'd have needed a egg on the gas pedal too
seriously, happy birthday (!) , congrats- and be careful with it.
suggestion: dont touch that traction control button if its raining, irritating as it may be (you'll see it annoyingly kills the engine at any tireslip in the rain) it works well...
It had become a 'reflex' to me to hop in, start it up, hit the button...just started raining about halfway home one day, took off a little hard and hit second a little hard... cost me a fender, bumper and hood, but coulda been a lot worse...aint touched it since except at the track- time and a place for everything

Congrats on the new ride! You bought an excellent car.
Try New Part Take Off (http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustang-20.aspx) for ideas on what you can switch out or freshen up (brake rotors, pads, etc).
Have fun & try to be safe.

Congrats on the car. Just got one myself. As for the first upgrades I'm looking at suspension upgrades. A little pricey but they were my favorite mods I accomplished on my last mustang.
By the way welcome to the family.
