You can call ford customer service at 800-392-3673. That number is also posted on their website for customer service.

 I called my dealer tuesday to cancel my order his response "what just for some colors in the dash" I said its more than that and the IUP is what I want. I then told him I would be by to get my deposit he called me back shortly only to state that my order should resume in feb and that they pushed me back to priority 10. I have only half a VIN, something doesnt sound right here or is it me? :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

My dealer repeatedly has told me there is no delay or problem with my order. When I call the Ford automated hotline it has not been updated since Dec 9th and still has me with a build date of Jan 24th. I was skeptical then and even more so now.

GT's with the IUP option are to be built in February, according to my dealer. He has been excellent to deal with.

I have had to wait for my 05 GT Silver with Red leather since 14 Oct. I have been in constant contact with dealership and Ford, I also have friends that work for Ford, they say that the GT model has been the hardest one to get off the assembly line. WHTMULE, your order has nothing to do with dealer allotments, your order can be processed desp[ite them meeting their allotment.

I called the number (thanks whtmule) the landy from ford was so pleasent to deal withand tried every darn thing she could to find the status of my order. What she came up with is that, the order was placed on 19 OCT 04, and it is currently at plant, awaiting compiling of parts, and untill all parts are recieved, there can be no VIN given. Does this sound in keeping with how things are done??????

After reading the article on the TMS Home Page this morning regarding the My Color/IUP Issue, it hit me that even if the IUP supply problem is resolved by February, My Color may remain on temporary hold as stated in the article due to the lawsuit. Again, from what I read, does look like the side airbag option may be broked out seperately.

I stopped by my dealer and they showed me their information on my car that gave it today (Jan 6th) as its build date. This is an IUP GT that I ordered in late November. The automated phone number still says "scheduled for build the week of Jan. 3rd." If this is all true, it certainly doesn't jive with all the reports about holds & delays.

I does jive if you were scheduled before the hold took place.

this is totally rediculous.......ford really should have no problem with this lawsuit considering what this idiot invented is different from what DELPHI made. and the product would have never been released if there was a patent problem. thats why there is a patent office. this could all be settled if ford gives him either a ford GT or a new mustang with the mycolor. he'll see how cool it is and thats all she wrote. i dont understand why this man is messing with this superpower. hes also messing with all of us. and i hope he gets drowned in legal fees. what a joke

BTW say if the dealer was alloted 4 for 2004 and those 4 are STILL on the lot, does that have anything to do with them not being able to get alloted more?
that would only happen if the dealer was on mars. They would just get another allotment of 4 or whatever and later have a collection of 8. Its only reserved 'spots in the line' for the dealer to be able to get cars built for them based on previous year's traffic. The dealer could keep every one if they felt like it.

most dealers are already pretty tapped, she would just get stuck in someone elses line. From what I've gotten, she ordered, and the dealer's order bank is on hold untill Ford decides to build the next allotment. So she waits her turn.

Yes I do have to wait my turn in line but what made me mad was for them to tell me for 8 weeks that "no the holdup is NOT our allotments" and then to find out this week that YES that is what the hold up has been. Doesn't matter. We have 6 inches of snow and 2 degrees so it would just tie up space anyway if I had it now.

i talked to my dealer a few weeks ago and they said thatthey would not be getting any new mustangs untill march or april, unless they do a dealer trade. they currently have a silver Gt auto. He said that the factories were shutting down for 3 weeks for the holidays. He also said the the convertible will be delayed because of safety issues
