Exclamation New EPA MPG Calculator

The EPA has come out with a calculator for the old MPG vs. the new.

I wonder if they will adjust the gas guzzler tax or if new buyers are going to be charged a GGT.
The new MPG figures go into effect with the 2008 model year.

Looks like a lot more cars are going to get hit with a Gas Guzzler tax for 2008 and many like the GT500 are going up a bunch. This will raise the GT500 GGT from $1300 to $2100. Ouch.

Interesting that they changed their method. But funny how my GT gets 16.5-17.5 city and 24.5-28.8 highway, and i've verified it the old fashioned way too by dividing miles by amount added to the gas tank since the last fill up. I personally think it's a revenue scam.

I get 17mpg consistantly with alot of highway driving. This is with the brenspeed tune and C&L intake. strangly enough I picked up an extra MPG AFTER modding the car.
