Well, I guess you'll still have those interior materials issues on a GT either way, though I'm hoping some or all of those issues will be resolved by '07. I'm going to opt for the full interior upgrade on an '07: aluminum dash, red interior, heated seats, power passenger seat, electrochromic mirror, premium leather dash and door panel upgrade...and NAV - all in a Redfire coupe with 18" fanblades.
Oh yeah, and a good set of tough, WeatherTech rubber floor mats to protect the carpeting - which hopefully by '07 will be improved, although I think it's unlikely because I doubt Ford actually listens to customer feedback. They could learn a thing or two from Infiniti here, who really do implement large-scale customer requests in subsequent model years.
